Outside Beyond the Lens | Kings Canyon National Park

Recently impacted by a massive wildfire, Jeff, Zack, and Dave travel to Kings Canyon National Park to see the aftermath. An unexpected rainstorm doesn’t dampen the spirits of an overnight camping adventure as the morning brings blue skies and a meadow-side hike into the heart of this magical place.

Beautifully done video. Planning to visit here soon. Your video showed me exactly why I need to go. Such beauty. Hoping to visit here and Great Basin during the Fall and see the color change and during new moon to see the stars.

Unfortunately the scenic byway down into Kings Canyon was closed the entire spring, summer and fall due to rainstorms last year that wreaked havoc on the road. If we get the same crazy winter this year it might not open in 2024 either. Keep an eye out on road conditions before planning a trip.

I loved living at workingin KCNP and SNP, especially when all the tourists were gone. We'd go down to KCNP when the road was closed, it was living in Paradise. 10 years it was.
