Developers plan to build new affordable housing project near Portland Jetport

A small measure of relief could be on the way for Portland’s cramped housing market.
GreenMars Real Estate is hoping to build 90 starter-home condos and 18 rental units in an empty lot on Congress Street, near the Portland Jetport. Some of the condos would have attached studio apartments so the owner could rent out the extra space.
