Thank you for your soft voice and intellect. Your choices are brilliant, especially the walk ins thru the old landscapes of other eras. I believe your channel is the best for exploring. It is about the subject, forgotten places.
Seriously guys, this is obviously someone's house. I lived abroad for 5 years and left my house empty. If you'd done this in my property, no joke, we'd have posted you home in jiffy bags as we don't deal with the police and sort burglars out in our own way. Okay, if there's an open door or a window but this is breaking and entering someone's property. You do realise that if someone want to send this to the police it's evidence of a burglary. I can't believe all the comments from idiots who think an empty house is 'abandoned' and therefore fair game! Would they be cool with me just letting myself into their house when they're on holiday claiming abandonment?
I totaly agree. I would never ever think of entering a house or cottage if it was locked. Actually,i would not think of entering some strangers house at all🙈🙄.. When they went into the house through the window it looked as if someone broke in already. What was that white crumbly stuff on the floor?
@@susefink6099 It's plaster that's fallen from the ceiling. The roof may have leaked or it can happen if it's very old lath and plaster like this house. Not a huge amount to repair. I'm glad it's not just me, I'm okay with exploring a derelict factory as urbex used to be but I'm very not Coll with these idiots who see a bit online and go climbing through people's house windows. If I just climbed through someone's window I'd expect a less than warm welcome.
Totally agree, and you boys know that would be classed as breaking and entering. It shows the property hasn't been empty for long as the smoke detected is blipping.
I'm in the USA, my grandparents came from Scotland. Seeing this makes me think of all the photos I've seen in the past. Not sure why the came to the states, but I would love to see Scotland with my owns eyes. I still have my great great grandfather's military uniform, and this all make me want to see Scotland more. Thank you
Hi Alec, I really enjoyed this place. The wooden staircase was amazing all the wood in this cottage , just beautiful!. To wake up every morning with the mountains there, just looks so tranquil. I work for the linemen here in the U.S. and noticed how different your power poles look, quite interesting. Thanks Alec for the tour.💜💗
The pole at 0:50 is 3 phase at 11,000 volts and standard supply to farms. Unlike the US, the supply in towns and cities is100% below ground. Only some small villages have overhead supplies like this video of a fault/fire ruclips.net/video/GKSocxyIf1U/видео.html
There is not a piece of property in the modern world that is not owned by some one . If this is not true ,move in ,take over and see how long you live there.
So happy I got to visit Scotland last year before Covid if we had booked this year we wouldn’t have been able to visit the castles & done all the wonderful things we did! What a great memory of your beautiful country! Thanks for another great video!❤️🇨🇦
Thanks Alec. Lovely cottage. Very picturesque. The newer work inside is all tastefully done. Shame about all the water damage from the roof needing to be repaired. Hopefully someone will bring it back to life before it is too far gone. Great photo at the end. Thanks again for sharing.
That's a beautiful house, hope your friend didnt hurt himself that exit was amazing. Shame about the weather but scenery is amazing. Thank you for another great explore Alec and friends
It does not look derelict or abandoned to me. Just maybe the owner on a world trip or passed over and the relatives waiting to sort it. Looks like breaking and entering to me.
Once again Great View n House is in Good shape needs some work but for the age of the original building nice and been remodeled too and the views AWESOME 👍 , maybe it's the Scotish Blood in me , lolololol your friend heard the fire alarm beep right after you said it and DAMN HE DOVE OUT THE WINDOW BUHAHAHA LOLOLOLOL MUHAHAHA THAT WAS HILARIOUS LOOK ON HIS FACE AND YOU GUYS WERE LIKE WHAT YOU PANICKING ABOUT 🤣🤣🤣 TAKE CARE AL
Lovely house, not been empty that long white goods washing machine isnt exactly old and a sky dish on chimney lol but assuming they left as the roof is knackered, great vids only found your page today and watched 5/6 already lol
Watching Andrew climb out had me chuckling away 😂 That place looked so clean, like someone had just left or about to do it up... The window panes were spotless.. Whoever did them better come and do mine lol
If it was done in collaboration with the owner, they wouldn't be sneaking in through a window. And that one guy, as soon as he entered the house, he was rifling through the cupboard.
I felt like I took a little walk in Scotland. Cottage with potential for restoration. I especially liked the natural wood. Delightful explore. Thank you.
that was breaking in, you should know that, no right to enter some ones home or property without prior consent /permission. .. not clever . in fact rather dishonest and very disrespectful.
Thank you for sharing I love the Cottege very pretty but for me I would to be around people and houses close to my house , I love Scotland one day I would love to have cottage in village .❤️
At 4:33 , once the 3rd guy gets in the window, you can see the guy to the left finding something and putting it in his pocket!!!!! NOT COOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It certainly looked like that. I agree it's totally uncool. Jewellery and valuables are always the first to go. At least that's what the reputable guys say. I hope the place was saved before it got worse.
Another great explore, Alec. A wee bit work and it could be a good house again. A remote cottage like this would be ideal, I could play my rock music as loud as I wanted with no neighbours to annoy and ride a noisy dirt bike around the place too!
Because I know there is a bit of damp in the place and some dirt but my nana house was like that due to damaged tiles on her roof and she tried to-get them fixed several times and paid a lot of money for it to keep getting moldy plus she didn’t put heating on in rooms she wasn’t in and with this one being an old cottage doesn’t take that long for mold to come as one of my neighbors went away for Christmas a few years ago and forgot to set the heating system so it didn’t come on and the pipes burst and ruined the bungalow and had to be repaired so could be what I said doesn’t always mean they are abandoned and mold can grow in a few days in damp
Wouldn't take too much effort to renovate, nice place, shame it's abandoned. Furniture, and other artefacts looked pretty good too, when your pal mentioned a model railway, I thought, you don't find them too often, and, they tend to be quite valuable...
I,ve seen these type of properties on tv, they're either used by the owner and the family, or a holiday let. People can book to rent it during the summer months. Check the land registry to find out who owns it.
Land Registry might give a name but without knowledge it’s of little use as people who own multiple properties often buy property using a fake name! When they get old and die they can’t leave it to anyone so although a name appears on land registry it is not owned by anyone real. I have no idea if this applies to this property however. It’s lovely though! Where is it exactly?
This house is in relatively good condition, the previous owner clearly carried out some work to update the house. It is a shame that little is known about the context around the property. It is as if the homeowner simply left the building. These houses are wonderful, built from nature's raw materials and standing the test of time. Although, this one seemed to have some access issues, which is bound to make any work difficult and costly. Great share, beautiful area and I am glad you managed to get Craig out - bring the WD40 next time just in case.
I have always liked the tours and explorations that you do but this is not the first time that I notice that you have forced doors and windows from places that are not abandoned to enter. You can see that this house was not abandoned, it just hasn't been used for some time. Forcing the window and scouring things like thieves is not a legal attitude. What a pity.....

Great video but do you know your breaking the law ? And it makes it even worse that you have your own evidence against yourself way filming your adventure..... anyway I still enjoy it
I've only seen two of your videos and in both there was a conveniently unlocked window. Would you ever consider using force to gain access to these uninhabited houses? I'm as curious as anyone to see these places but the 'trespassing' issue would be a big concern were I the one doing this.
Was that mold or what, growing on that bedroom door? It looked like the house was in pretty good shape. Get rid of the mold and do repair and cleaning the fireplaces up a bit and that would be a nice cottage to live in. 😊🛼
What a beautiful design. I'd love to live in a house like that but must build a green wall around it for privacy. I don't get how oeople feel safe and secure with windows pretty much reachable for passerbys.
I’d say Craig has some skills flying out that window 🤣😂 I was laughing my arse at Andrew “gracefully” exiting the same window 🤣😂 Wee cute home with an awesome view. Thank you Alec for showing me Scotland Much love my friend. 👍❤️😊

This place needs be rescued asp before more mold takes over .Very beautiful cottage needs family !
I didn’t like the rush job going through the people’s home and seeing your mate rifle through other’s belongings. Lack of respect. 😟
What people? There are probably dead.
Finally some else gets the point , it,s called trespassing.
Stunning wee cottage my sister owns one in another part of Scotland they are lovely types of property. That cottage is still lovely hope it gets saved

Probably give it to some immigrants who will do it up.
Great explore Alec... your going to have to teach your mate your technique in window exit 🤣
That was a rapid window exit haha
I didn't know if he was going to hurt his back or his neck ... I'm sure he won't make an exit like that again 👍

Empty, locked but abandoned?? Been tastefully renovated. Housebreaking guys?
These homes make me think of families and kids playing in the yard. Really peaceful place. come on over to the states and have a look around.
Book me a flight then haha
