While I love all the additional content as an Insomnia, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE start putting Dreamcatcher on variety shows!! It’s ridiculous that the vocal line hasn’t been on any singing varieties or that the group has barely been on Weekly Idol or anything for that matter. We’ve built a good fanbase through word of mouth or people seeing their videos, but for DC to really gain recognition, they need more exposure to the general public.

I'm pretty sure you either have to be invited by the show or have a really good agent who can snag a time slot in variety shows to get in them. I know in the US, you have to be invited by the show to be able to get on them or at least have a very large following (or scandal or something) to get on them depending on the show's topic. I think they've gotten invited by Fact In Star since the beginning of their debut, and I've seen a few videos of them on other variety shows. I think since Korea has a huge k-pop culture, DC will have to start on the smaller shows to be able to make their way to the top. Especially since they're not from one of the Big 3 companies.

Sadly, not with the competition.
The competition is really stacked right now... ITZY, Hwasa, and Taemin all released material for the same week as DC. If DC had their comeback one week earlier, they would’ve snagged a first win. And the area where DC is lacking is something really difficult for i-fans to help... the digital charts for their title track. Happyface/Dreamcatcher Company REALLY needs to get them on more variety shows to get public recognition. There’s no reason that the vocal line shouldn’t be competing on singing shows, or for the group not to be on Weekly Idol, etc. JiU should also be pushed more in the visual area to get endorsements. Right now, DC is only catching on through word of mouth or people randomly coming across their videos or performances, and that’s not enough to attract the general public.
Rin I agree a little. I’m not really into DC but I can admit that they do have quality vocals/dance/visuals. I love watching them perform, but their music just isn’t what I’m into.
I wasn’t impressed with Itzy. This is not to talk bad about them I tried to give it a chance. Most people said the song was ok but the dancing saved it. I don’t think the dancing was that great. It seems like idols from survivor shows are more popular than the traditional idol if that makes sense.
DC should have won over ITZY but it is what it is. I hope they’re not discouraged because they’re a good group.
@@realreal4140 I disliked ITZY's song personally, didn't think it was that great. Their success seems to come from the fact that it's JYP and that they have Ryujin who gained a lot of popularity from MIXNINE. It was just a weak song that didn't showcase their skill, under the assumption that their skill is more than that, and the dancing somehow saving it, that seems more like a convenient excuse than anything else. For their sake, I hope their next song is better. While I don't think they deserve the praise right now, I want them to show that they do. If they don't, then I'm pretty sure that while I won't trash talk them, there'll be a lot of others who do. That's just how things usually go.

I've been hearing about these girls for awhile but I'm just now checking them out. I have to say it'd definitely take me a few more listens to get into them. But I definitely have to appreciate the fact that they are doing something different. Kpop is so saturated with girl groups doing the same thing. I don't know if they promote in Japan but they definitely should be, they give me J-rock vibes.

The fact that they didn't get a win annoys me so much. Dreamcatcher is the first group/band in a reaaaally long time that I can listen to every single album without skipping a single track, there's no bad song. They diserve more than that, much more. More promotion, more attention, awards, reality, variety shows. They diserve better!
