Here in the Netherlands the poles on sidewalk corners and so, are made from recycled plastic. Maybe you can make such items and sell them to the city councils. The best is to let people use less pollution plastic. Keep it up.
I predict an enthusiastic response to open source water way barriers- the entire concept captures the imagination, inspires ACTIVATION, participation. There is a clear municipal lower education tie-in.
Its crazy nice to see how optimistic and energetic these guys are in just doing it and recycling kilos and kilos of plastic. Thats just awsome to see, even if the sheetpresses and sheets may not be perfect etc they just go for it. Cheers, dutch thomas
My brother's Oceanography final project was to build an eco-barrier. He made a barrier similar to the Sungai Watch, but made from a PET bottle in the rivers of Vitória, Espírito Santo. Our entry into the Precious Plastic world is directly correlated with barriers and solid waste collection in rivers. A waste barrier in the open source model would be very interesting. Keep working together you are guiding the possibilities!
When I joined the river cleanup with you, I was actually a little bored. But hearing Garry tell the big picture, it's amazing. Thank you for this video Matia..
BIG UP to the guys who established this company ! big inspiration ! Im just missing some fumes sucking + filtration systems above sheet presses, in order to keep production for workers safe from long period of time. Otherwise, it could lead to a cancer, with high probability. still big inspiration !! Greetings from Slovakia :)
Yes suction system would be nice. However, Sungai Watch are just starting + working on a very open space with plenty of wind. Hopefully they'll get one soon!
Some of this first raw sheets look amazing! I would even consider to hang something like that as a piece of Art onto my wall😊❤!!! I tried out to make cutting boards out of bottle caps, melted between 2 pieces of Aluminium foil and then rolled out... (there was a DIY video on RUclips) ... worked out very well!😊 I do frequently beach cleanings... and use some of the fishing related stuff (net floaters out of plastic or Styrofoam) to create funny looking Sculptures painted in bright colours for garden decoration... they even stand bad weather pretty well.😊
So inspiring to see what the team at Sungai Watch have achieved and how they are supporting the local communities to change their behaviours and attitudes towards waste. We are at the beginning of our journey of building a plastic recycling workspace in the UK (Not yet connected with Precious Plastic) and are as excited to make what difference we can too... We wish the team the very best of luck with the next phase.
What a great project! I would be curious what they are doing to motivate people to just bring the plastic cleaned up directly to them. Like a garbage pickup or drop-off place.
Would like to see barriers on the precious plastic ecosystem. The main challenge I was wondering about involves changes in water level. Do they find a fixed point in the river that stays the same width or do they add and remove sections as they do the cleanups?
That is the future 🎯......I'm from Vanuatu 🇻🇺 ,and our country has a reform plan, towards recycling ♻.....it call ,"Kliinap coop" ( clean up cooperation ) your visit, will much benefit our recycling waste management services.
I'm inspired! You are awesome! Keep up the amazing work! Do you accept help? Maybe me for a one-month work/volunteer (mostly learning trip) from Canada. Please.
hello which country from this? Nepal also suffering from plastic problems i also want to establish this kind of factory but lack of economiic souurce i am not proceded
For drying plastic bags why nit have a spinning drum with holes on the drum and ends. It can then be connected to a bicycle for someone to pedal or to an electric motor. Then put a fan at one end again csn be pedal powered or electric. Then fill the drum half watoy abd spin with fan onto. That is the simplest way. Also, clothes could be dried the same way but without heat it takes longer. Maybe start looking into off grid living youtubes to get ideas would be a good idea.
Hi brother this is kirubel from Ethiopia (Africa) i like the idea of making recycling business specialy plastic so if you want to expand your business to East Africa please let me know

Would be great to learn more about your solution 👊 Would you be open to share it?
Boa Noite! Tenho um projeto de sacos de tecido retornável uma ideia pra coletar resíduos orgânicos pra fazer ração para os animais.

Yes, exactly! Don't make the solution to address one problem, lead to creating 10 more problems down the road !
THIS IS SO GOOD! -still, I had to take a moment out to reflect. 1500 Rupiah is about 1 us cent ($0.01 USD) per kilo!!! The up-cycle factor is HUGE!
USD$1 =Rp15,000

That’s brilliant, what a great set up, just a shame it’s needed.

Looking forward to welcome you on the Precious Plastic ecosystem, make sure to get on the map as soon as you're ready ♡
Heran kenapa saya suka konten seperti ini 🔥🔥🔥
This is the coolest video! Hell yea!!
YES Mattia! Gary! & Sungai Watch!!! So Great, So hopeful =) Next time I visit Bali I'd love to visit for a look and to lend a helping hand :)
What a super guy well done ,we need more people like this . inspirational.
the plastic bag press creates some amazing works of art! i love it!! Great work Precious Plastics!
Solar concentrators (parabolic shaped mirrors in other words) are an effective budget friendly way to dry those plastics
fresnel lens heating might be something worth looking into since there's plenty of sun there.
please come to Barrie Ontario Canada , please keep doing this work!
Brilliant. Passion pays!
Parabéns pelo trabalho!!!!! Tenho um projeto de sacos de tecido retornável, uma ideia pra coletar resíduos orgânicos pra fazer ração para os animais.
Mat God bless all of you!

Why can't the foam from the flip flops be utilised to make more floating barriers?
Great works!
Well done!
Great job
Please make those barriers open source
Even I want to implement something on a smaller scale in my city..

Awosome 🎉
Produce more barriers from the collected plastic!
Yes please, would love to make barriers for my location. Please let us know where to get drawings.
Not open sourced yet but will try organise it asap
HEELOOOOO.... YEs Yes... GOD BLESS YOU!
How about using the plastic sheets to construct low-cost housing? Roofing materials?
What do you use the slabs for
Non recyclable plastic can be liquefied into fuel with a process called pierolization i think.
Hello, thanks for your videos. I would like to know how many tons that cold press is?
mantap #banksampahmajubahagia
great. am in Ghana we are also facing this challenge of plastic, please I want to know how they make the plate.
community.preciousplastic.com/academy/build/sheetpress
so where do i get the open source for the river cleanup thingie?
EVA looks to be recyclable. For rubber slippers probably the only economical downcycling method is pyrolysis.
There is a factory in Africa witch glues the material together in layers and then local Artists carve big Animal Sculptures out of it. Amazing!

who buys the plastic sheets and what do they use them for?
I'm inspired! You are awesome! Keep up the amazing work! Do you accept help? Maybe me for a one-month work/volunteer (mostly learning trip) from Canada. Please.
How to open it in india?
hello which country from this?

Is there any way to hear the workers being interviewed???
Ouch didn't catch that unfortunately :(
so where is household garbage supposed to go, do houses have municipal garbage pick up?
Bro,l admire your project, what if l can come to lndonesia and learn from you.lam living on the other side Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬. John Pyaso

Which group can do fake thick plextiglass?
You can grind almost anything up and use it as a filler!
Consider selling those pressed sheets as artwork. Some hipsters would pay big money for those, plus the opportunity to virtue signal.

Be cool if you could turn it into building material of some kind
Definitely!
You can add legs and use as desks for under privileged school children
Of course!
