      Well detailed video. What Vanguard bag were you using?

    • @Zetaphotography

      how do you gel your lights. No option for Gels, the barn doors are bad and you can't stack more than 1 CTO together if you needed for some reason

    The Tether Tools battery bank, it allows the "higher" burst power level?

    Have you noticed it overheat during a wedding shoot?

    • @RMalayeri
      @RMalayeri 2 года назад

      Not at all. It doesn't overheat even at full power.

    Will stick to strobes myself. More power and I expect better stopping power also.

    • @RMalayeri
      @RMalayeri 2 года назад +1

      I have many Flashpoint strobes as well Richard, and although they have much more power, Reflex has its advantages compared to strobes. The water proofing is a plus for weddings and it's super versatile in its USB-C power platform. It's a great light that has a unique position for hybrid shooters and scenarios where raw power output is insignificant IMHO 😊

  • @WildHorseProductions
    @WildHorseProductions 2 года назад +4

    Not really convince power wise that this would give me more power for the buck vs a flash in situations where I need to either 1. Overpower the sun. 2. Stick the light in a modifier.
    Weather proofing is nice but I don't really shoot in the rain.

    • @RMalayeri
      @RMalayeri 2 года назад +2

      You're correct David! Reflex isn't built to compete on that level. It's really unique for its compact and modular build, great for high speed in the studio and controlled lighting environments, and for hybrid use for video!

      @@RMalayeri I love my CLX10 and CLX8 though. Just not sure this fits into my workflow

    What is the t/0.1 flash duration of this light may I ask? I like the waterproof capability of it I admit.

    • @RMalayeri
      @RMalayeri 2 года назад +3

      The Reflex has a standard burst duration of 5ms, and the Reflex S allows for more control with a range of 0.4ms to 6ms, allowing you to freeze action with light vs your shutter!

    I like my Light and Motion lights. I’m trying to figure out the scenario where I would use the Reflex S in strobe mode vs my strobes… If you turn down a B10 plus to a similar output as the Reflex’s max output, the recycle time goes down to extremely short and the flash duration become very fast.

      Rotolights have their place but they are huge (by comparison) and much less compatible with modifiers. I have both.

  • @davidjones8070
    @davidjones8070 2 года назад

    To small of a light source for the expensive price tag.

    • @JesseStarrPhoto
      @JesseStarrPhoto 2 года назад +1

      The small size is one of the reasons they cost so much… There are LEDs with comparable power that are 5 times the size, AND have a huge power pack with them too.
