I loved The Secret Garden movie growing up! It was on TV all the time in Brazil. First movie I ever watched with Maggie Smith. I also loved The Little Princess. I bought both books in special editions, but I've never read them ahahha I'm scared to ruin them.

Novellas can be really hit or miss and they need to be standout for me to be able to like them. And sometimes it can be nice to read an entertaining fantasy book and not take a book too seriously. I was curious about lost ark dreaming but it might not be one for me after all...
I just started Lost Ark Dreaming last night 😭 I’m hoping I like it, but I feel like our dislikes often align. I did feel like the writing style felt off but maybe it’s because this is sci fi like you said
