Yeah, PCSX2 1.5. There's a issue rendering some HUD elements (life bar, etc). Workaround: Enable the Hardware hack "Preload Frame Data" in GSDX plugin. My config: i5-6600, 8Gb RAM, gtx 1060 6Gb.

@@gouravchakraborty9801 well it should look better because the Dreamcast had better processing than the PS2 and was almost on par graphics wise. PS2 was only slightly more powerful and had a DVD player which resulted in the Dreamcast death.

If Guts has shown me anything, its that if slashing at something isn't working for some reason; Keep slashing at it and it will eventually work.
Also, a bigger sword might do the job quicker. =)

He took the Snake apostle off guard with his arm cannon, defeated the Count by using bait and taking his daughter hostage, found Munguz's only weakness and exploited it against him, found a way to get within close quarters of Rozine to defeat her, etc. To say Guts just swings at shit until it works is an insult to the actual genius he is on the battlefield. He observes the situation, and adapts accordingly.
@@Saru-yr3qk and he has to do all that while in the middle of a fight, and trying to not get killed at the same time. he only goes brute force when it "really need's to" I.e. the Slime apostle, and the fairy apostle fights.
Seeing Guts kick Griffith's Ass so effortlessly just brings me and my heart absolute joy.

This berserk's game has the best physic for gatsu's movements from how he moves the sword to how he uses his arm ,the gameplay in general is quite good infact.
Yeah, you can really feel the weight of his movements, it's great!

Guts goes unscratched against most enemies actually, it's usually only apostles or really strong/tactical opponents that give him trouble that manage to hit him

Fact is, optimal Dark Souls is very simple and boring. The most fun you have in this game is when you are new or bad at it. This game has much more depth than Souls ever had, and that says something.

You can tell the developer were very passionate about this game. It still looks very good.
This and the dreamcast game is infinitely better than any of the anime adaptations, the 90s adaptation being an exception. They did Guts more justice here than they did in a fucking anime

The Inverted Drone Because it's his japanese name
The Inverted Drone his original name is gatsu but the American version of the anime and manga has his name as guts.
Gatsu is only the romanization of guts. Miura himself says it's guts.
It's not, his name is still Guts in Japan, the pronounciation however is Gatsu when it comes to Japan.

Great gameplay! Its rare to see expirienced action players beating this one. A pity that this game is short & worth only one playthrough though. At least they should have made Griffith playable.

Just getting back into Berserk and gotta say that this game looks awesome. Just the music for Bossfights seems rather "lacking" ^^
The music is just overall ok, the Opening sequence is fantastic. The Dreamcast game has much better soundtrack, I recommend checking it out, the soundtrack not the game, you have to have some patience for that one.

Ok somebody was going to say it so it might as well be me, PS2 Berserk looks WAY better then 2016 Berserk.
The way Guts is animated while swallowed up in the Berserker Armor here makes him look like a methed-up Belgian Sheepdog on a bad PCP trip; it's absolutely PERFECT.

i tried playing this game, stopped playing at the forest with the undead, easily one of the worst areas i've ever seen in a ps2 game, such a contrast from the incredible boss fights.

Man, this game does a beautiful job of illustrating exactly how Guts would wield that massive sword. It's fluid, practical.
haven’t played it but this game looks so well made. the animations and combat looks good and i get the impression the creators knew what they were doing and actually understood berserk. which is really nice to see
note: also the timing and the weight everything moves with look very believable and goes at the speed that i think miura was going for. this shows both miuras talent in his drawings and the developers understanding of his work

Pretty fluid combat for a PS2 game. It looks like the devs had a great understanding of the source material and crafted the game with care... minus a snowman or two.
