It is also haram to let yourself be harmed like you said if you drown or die in a fire you go to Jannah, you can't just wait to die in the fire or water and that is called suicide which is haram and will most likely land you in hell although I am not speaking for anyone this can just be too out of context

If he had called the ambulance he would have been saved but since he chose to go to Jannah and was able to save himself, it is considered a suicide

In the days of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, there was a man who went on a campaign with the Prophet, hoping to die as a martyr. He was stabbed, but he didn't die...so he inserted the knife further into his stomach to die as a martyr, but Allah did not accept it. So he was judged as if he commited suicide. So this video is the same concept.but I'm pretty sure captainhalal didn't mean it that way and wanted to clear another message. Hope this made sense!
