Thanks! I know, it is quite rare. This is one of my local crossings which is quite cool. There's a level crossing called Kirkton which has 4 of these narrow type wigwags!
Nice video, it's interesting to see the different approaches to editing level crossing videos. I tend to be in the flashing lights then several passing trains with the final scene being the closing barriers. I enjoyed your video because you did not have a static location and in level crossing terms told a story.
I swear, that train looks different to the ones you get nowadays in 2019. Mostly white with yellow doors... why is it that you don't really see these colour trains anymore in 2019? In 2019 they have mostly blue and green trains
Southeastern have changed the Class 375 fleet liveries from white and yellow to dark blue, but it's taken ages for all the trains to change. The Class 465, 466 "Networkers" still have the white livery, and so does the Class 376 trains I believe. The Class 375s in dark blue liveries began appearing as far back as 2015 I think.
On Windows Live Movie Maker for Windows 7, you can save the video for a HD display under the drop-down menu (top left on the main tab). This retains the highest quality for your videos. But since this is your first you probably know this already for your other videos! Still a good vid by the way. I've not seen narrow signals like this before in the UK!
4:31 those alarms sound different! what type are they? 6:47 those fast trains go really slow here! 8:31 I don't think I've ever seen this problem here in the United States! Mostly because they try to avoid it! 10:04 and It's a 12-car train the Ambulance is waiting on! 19:17 nice night shot!
Thanks for your comment. 4:31 Yodalarms are the audible warnings used at almost every level crossing in the UK. Every one sounds different and has a unique sound. 6:47 The High Speed Trains don't go fast here. All the trains that cross, stop at the station, just down the line. So no trains travel at high speed through here. 8:31 It happens frequently at many different crossings all over the UK. Most crossings are usually down for about 3 minutes, and most of the time, emergency vehicles find alternative routes. 10:04 Indeed. The longest trains here are 12 coaches. 19:17 Thanks. I took that video later on in the evening.
+Will Scriven Yeah. They do. I believe these are used from when the crossing was halogen and so they haven't bothered updating the alarms yet. They sound nice together though. :)
Hey Jamie, I thought that there were 4 of the skinny lights at this crossing, and in a way this crossing kind of sounds like Lincoln. Even though Lincoln doesn't have Thorpe Culvert and Moss Alarms.
Yeh. They sort of sounds similar. The crossing here uses similar fire alarm tones. There is 4 wigwags. 3 out of 4 are narrow/tilted type and the one wigwag on the Sainsbury's side is normal.
Second video train is class 395, you could see on the side of the train at the front or back, really good
The siren is awesome :D
MYYY GODDD ITS SOOOOO CANTERBURY ST DUNSTANS LEVEL CROSSING COMPILATIONEYYYYY HOIIIIIoiiiii BWARRRRR

WOW! THREE narrow-type wigwags at 19:17! Nice find!

+train.tram.bus I was there for a while so I thought I might as-well get different angled shots to make the video interesting :)
1:00:00
I once saw a police officer with his lights flashing arrive at a crossing just as a rather slow train began to cross.
Great videos Jamie!
+chuttlely Thanks :)

The alarms sounds like manor way at east london
Yeah, similar sounds
Sounds like a alarm fit for Merseyside.
All alarms in Merseyside are broken.

Nice
Which London station are do they go to?
Try using RealTimes' converter. It helps retain quality.

Borderline misuse, but hardly the worst example.
