I had to make new suspension rods and change the geometry a little because mounts were in different places. I ended up with a longer wheel base which could be better? I mounted the servo’s on the axles for ease because this is the first R/C I’ve done and it will always be less than it needs to be. I plan to make my own next, I have the body shell that matches my full size off roader. I probably put the axles together 6 times and changed design about the same. LOL a hundred dollars is way more affordable than thousands so R/C is an inexpensive way to get my 4x4 fix.
That's a crawler? I like the ones that go fast. I usually destroy them then give them away. Lol. The nitro ones are cheaper but hard to tune. Electric is rhe way ro go.
@@egodeathplease I’d like to build a basher too I’m thinking two wheel drive and looking like a Baja bug or dune buggy. Maybe best of both worlds and do a trophy truck with long travel suspension. I think they all are fun, have you seen the dragsters? I’d love to build a 700lb tank and if I was rich I’d have a whole construction fleet. I’ve seen some people build awesome R/C cranes that go up 10+ feet! Was also thinking a good R/C ECU would make an easy platform for a electric skateboard or even go-Kart I scrapped the sweeper from the warehouse and still have the controller but I don’t know if you can adjust the speed and that thing was too slow lol. I saved a lot from that for a GoKart the buffer motor would kick but speed wise. The crawlers are fun, I did a lot of work to make this one more realistic to drive. It weighs a lot more than it should. I’m wondering if I should try to upgrade the motor (truthfully I’d rather move on and up a notch)
