Viet Minh couldn't occupy the A1 Hill because of the heavy fire power of french and the trench and bunkers on A1 Hill provide French soilders a good position to defense the hill from Viet Minh's attack. Viet Minh changed the strategy and secretly digged a tunnel to place a ton of explosive under the A1 Hill. A ton of explosive explode bring down the bunker and trench of French above and Viet Minh successfully take over the A1 Hill
