This Shiva Bhajan celebrates the strength of Shiva, which is the typical detachment of the yogi.
Free translation : Hail to Shiva, who destroys our attachments through the power (bum bum) of his drum.
Bhajans are spiritual songs. Chanting Bhajans is a main part of Bhakti Yoga, where we express our love for the divine. The result usually is a deep feeling of joy and unity. Sing along with this recording and you may experience it for yourself.
The Leela Bhajan Jam Band is a group of people that like to make spiritual music together, in a loose and playful fashion. There are no fixed members - we can gather anywhere anytime to sing bhajans together. The objective is not make a performance but rather provide the people present the possibility to join the singing and express there feelings towards the divine. We’re amateurs, so it does not always sound perfect, but hey who needs perfect ?
Recorded at the YogaLife Festival 2019 in Belgium, with about 150 people singing along.
