Just completed an A25 a few months back - nice radio and sounded very good. Just picked up an A22 - very similar - to fix up for a friend. I am looking forward to this series. Thanks for doing these Mike. I like your approach.

This ol' girl seems like shes had a rough life from looking under the chassis. Something when up in smoke around the audio tube and likely took out the power transformer at some point in its life. And whoever repaired it really didnt care to wrap the terminals properly. So I spend a great deal of time de-blobing it and resoldering joins. Its getting better slowly. How was yours for sensitivity? Im hearing stories these IF transformers can cause grief.

I live on Vancouver Island, so we don't have that many AM stations, but it pulled in a good few from Vancouver - though not as many as the Siemens I just restored. The "Magic Loop" antenna is a nice touch. No problems with the IF transformers, thank goodness. I fix them up and move them along, and this one sold quickly.
