Quite frankly, if you dont know what good animation looks like. This tool wont help you create good animations. I doubt its really AI, but more like math that creates stuff like drag, overshoot, etc for you. But you still need to identify what good animation looks like. Figure out how to create good poses, silhouettes, convey emotion, weight, etc. Based on what I see here, the software doesnt do a great job at that. So just practice. Tools like this seem more geared towards helping animators work faster rather than better imo. (Because a lot of the animations in the video are not very good from a professional standpoint and needs refinement by a trained eye, but its just clearly a quick demonstration) To me, this is almost like how some artist draw over 3D models initially to create their drawings. But they dont follow it perfectly, because theyre skilled enough to create something that looks even better/more appealing
I just simply can not wrap my head around, how you made my life meaningful again with this incredibly powerful tool! And it's FREE! Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU!!!!
Not true just like any other ai it uses data collected from somewhere to create the physics, problem 1000s and 1000s of peoples data and body scans, same thing,
Using ml models to reduce all the manual futzing with rigging and animating 3d objects seemed like such a good fit for what ML is good at, I was hoping at least a few teams were giving it a go... and yes, well done Cascadeur! Best of luck and looking forward to see how this product develops.
okay I feel like I have to ask this now. what is the training data used to train the autoposing feature? was it properly licensed and/or your own in-house training data? I don't mean to imply or assume that it wasn't, but using unlicensed/stolen training data seems to be the industry norm for functionally every ML-aided application. would be amazing if you all were the exception and built it ethically, it's been the biggest question in the back of my mind that I've been afraid to ask for fear of the answer.

I'm super interested in if limits can be set to what the AI does so this can act more as an interpolation/ easing tool to improve finished keyframe animations. For instance, I make a lot of stylized animations but I can't nail the weight in my follow-through on an attack the way I want it. Will I be able to use the physics and auto-pose functions to get a super heavy swing to fill between my starting and ending animations, or would this require me to blend the two animations later?
question... its posible to fix mocap data using animation layers like other softwares do ( not destructible).... but now using cascadeur dinamics system?
Having a tool like this in the realm of 2D animation would undoubtedly be a tremendous asset for animators, as it would greatly facilitate the process of filling in the in-between frames.
This is what we need. not the intresting but useless dalle or stable diffusion, (even tho i still admire it.) this will be an amazing tool for aspiring animators!
I'm having some trouble with the auto-poser: As soon as you slightly adjust a control it becomes constrained and locked in place, auto-poser no longer has any influence on that. If you disable the lock, the control snaps back, deleting any adjustments. I'd like to be able to adjust a control's position without it locking in worldspace and being ignored by auto-poser, otherwise it's not really all that useful in practise.
I don't know whats this hype about, it is really clunky and just is a pain in the ass to work with, the autoposer doesn't consider the history of the animation, so it produces wrong poses in animation. Without the autoposer, its also a huge pain, as now you have to move around handles with a gismo, to rotate body parts.
