Yup, only thing keeping it from going into his eye was a single cable, and he still wanted Dougray Scott to put all his strength into trying to stab him... in the face... Tom Cruise is a bloody mad man.
Tom Cruise in "Face/Off". Perfect. Imagine how chaotic that would be. Tom Cruise is a psychopath in this film and a look alike of Tom Cruise has to stop him. More shenanigans. More stunts. And the dove has children and grandchildren. Perfect
Fun fact: this movie became very famous in Spain because of how incredibly inaccurately it portrays its culture. And they were publicly shamed by journalists during the press tour. In a nutshell, burning religious sculptures is not a Spanish tradition. They mixed two different festivities from two different regions: Easter (parading centuries-old sculptures of Jesus, Virgin Mary, etc.), specially popular in Seville but done all over Spain and Fallas (burning satirical papier maché sculptures about current political and cultural events), done only in the region of Valencia. Also, in the movie, people in the streets of Seville were singing "viva la Virgen del Carmen", but this particular version of Virgin Mary is celebrated in Valencia.

My wife is a huge Alias fan, so I knew MI3 (also by Abrams and one of the best in the series) would be right up her alley. But we don't really like skipping parts of a series. So when I finally convinced her to watch the MI series with me, I was just hoping "Please please pleeease don't let her get sick of it during MI2 that she wants to quit..." Ego the size of Texas aside, he hates not getting his stunt adrenaline fix.
While I don't think they're bad, I can't say I find them good either. 1 is extremely hard to follow, and not because its narrative layers are structured in a complex way that makes it memorable, but because its screenplay is genuinely sloppy, and so I genuinely can't remember anything interesting about it. 3 is not boring, like Doug says, but it suffers from two major problems: a lack of proper pacing due to Abrams' extremely frantic style, which makes it difficult to enjoy because of an excess of action, and the villain is super under-utilized despite Hoffman's brilliant performance.
IMF stands for Impossible Mission Force. So when Dustin Hoffman says "This is Mission Impossible" he is not referencing the title of the movie, but the name of the agency.
