It wasn’t a good pilot because it didn’t actually encourage any audience investment in the scraps or the world of ramshackle (literally destroys the problem of bad rich people at the end- what’s supposed to happen in the next episode?). I was very surprised to see that the baby turned into an angel because the whole pilot seemed like they were adding a member to the main crew. Like Maggot had the most development in the pilot so it adds to the “why would I care about the next episode?” Feeling
It honestly felt like they rushed that last part since maggot becoming an angel made no sense at all. I think they added that thinking it would be funny, but it instead made it more boring and confusing
I personally feel as though it failed as a pilot. It feels more like due to it's lack of focus, it should've been a short film more than anything. There's also production issues that take me out of enjoying it. Obviously the animation is phenomenal, but the sound design was pretty bad. And the writing just seemed like it didn't know what to do with itself, I'll have to disagree with you on the characters being presented properly as from what I can tell, they weren't given nearly enough time to shine and show themselves off. We were too focused on this random baby who was taking away valuable screentime from our main cast. It's weird how this is the only other negative review I've seen on youtube. The only other one being called "Ramshackle Fails as a Pilot" which shares a lot of the views I described here. Good video though, interesting to hear your thoughts. Keep it up!
I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was truly rooting for ramshackle & fell in love with the short film thesis released a few years ago. Was hoping I’d love the pilot too but the writing was too cornbally for my tastes, & they really laid the messaging of “rich ppl bad” on a little too thick imo

(Not to mention that scene where they see a woman eaten by the baby and don’t react) Why would I want to follow these characters that are complete pricks? I’ll give Helluva Boss some credit, the show knows Blitzo is an asshat. He’s been called out by the other characters occasionally and his actions have consequences in the narrative most of the time. And they also gave him redeemable qualities.
That’s the problem with not just indie animation but animation as a whole. So many “adult” shows on Adult Swim are only considered “adult” because of violence and swearing but the show itself is emotionally immature and doesn’t really delve into mature plot points/emotions. Rick and Morty, for example, would be considered a kids show if you removed all the swearing and adult jokes. Helluva Boss would also be a kids show if you removed all the adult jokes and swearing. People need to realize that Swearing and Dirty Jokes =/= Mature This is why I think adventure time was amazing because it dealt with very dark and heavy themes without relying on crass language and humor.
@@Axolotl_12358 Give some credit where credit is due. Rick and Morty does occasionally dive into actually dark topics in an intelligent and meaningful manner. Just in season 7, they deal with consumerism and literally the meaning of life in the spaghetti episode as well as the fear of abandonment in the final episode "Rick no Mort". They obviously also have episodes that are just humor, but it is a comedy show after all. Personally, I really enjoy their balance of only sprinkling the heavy stuff into an otherwise bizarre show.

As much as I love Japanese media, I definitely know that anime is to blame for the "apathetic edgelord who goes soft" trope being as overdone as it is. This is a message to all writers and animators: not every second protagonist has to be a Sasuke Uchiha clone! As for the "Golden Retriever boy" trope, I'm not surprised that it has gone from being subversive within the indie sphere to becoming the grim norm in such a short amount of time. Btw, I love that frame where VM basically called Sir Pentious, N, Moxxie, and one other guy (I dunno his name cuz I haven't seen Lackadaisy) the same character LMAOOOOO! 🤣
At least each of them have flaws and stuff. Moxie is easily jealous and kind of stuck up. Sir pentious is nervous and acts more gentlemanly The tiger guy from Lackadaisy goes insane when prompted. N isn't too smart and is willing to kill for the ones he loves.
Glad to find another person with the similar opinions of the pilot! One thing I’ll say for the set era, which is supposed to be in like the early 20th century as you said, is that it doesn’t really portray it consistently, because you’d find some random characters that look like they’re from the 1920s or like the 21st century (etc. lady posing for the red carpet). I feel like the show is having a bit of trouble establishing a consistent theme, and I feel like they should do a bit more exploration of its era so that way it would be more consistent
I'm glad I wasn't alone in thinking similarly. Personally my immediate thoughts was "Oh this show is just gonna say 'rich man bad' and that's the only substance we're getting", because I felt like "rich man bad" was brought up constantly throughout the pilot, to be fair to the show, if the show is continued, the newer episodes could be brilliant and I'd love the show. I know personally I wanted to blow my brains out watching the Murder Drones pilot due to the forced unfunny jokes and attempts at meta-humour but I stuck through the rest of the show and it ended up being my favorite piece of animated media behind Invincible. There's hope for Ramshackle but if its just gonna be "Rich person bad, let's eat and kill rich person because I'm eternally living on Twitter!" Then count me out.
I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with you on Skipp. Yes he is the least interesting, but the fact that you compare him to other “nice guys” is a huge disservice. Moxxie is nice but very uptight and insecure. N is much more silly and excitable. Freckle is reluctant and timid, and even has a secret unhinged side, and Sir Pentious is a bumbling idiot who means well. None of these characters are the exact same just because they are nice. Even Skipp shows some character by trying to bring out the best in others even if it means breaking the class barrier. Would Stone or Vinny even think about talking to a rich person? No.
But he's kinda JUST a nice guy which isn't that interesting, atleast in the way they portray him in the show. He is just missing some thing to make him not forgetable, which he definetly is.

yeah, it feels like there's no winning with writing characters, because if you write an apathetic jerk you get slammed for making them be apathetic and a jerk, but then if you write a nice character then they get called "boring" and get compared to other characters even when there's no similarities, so like what are you wanting lmao. there's only so many traits a character can have, of course there's going to be some shared with characters from other things, doesn't make it a cheap rehash.
I have to disagree on the lead female character (don’t remember her name at all). I’ve seen this character so many times i instantly felt repulsed. This is the typical ‘aggressive tomboy girl with heart of gold’. And even without that we have plenty male characters with the same vibe/personality. But overall I agree that cast made me feel bored. The tumblr sexyman, the good natured twink and the dominant lady - I feel like I’ve seen this so many times before

That was part of my problem with the pilot too. It’s also why I didn’t like Fundamental Paper Education. When you have to sacrifice characterization for a “haha funny” joke or being quirky, maybe think of something better lol It’s fine if you want to make unlikable or morally grey characters from the outset, but when you’re obviously supposed to be rooting for them, it just makes it really awkward.
6:55 Ren and Stimpy had so many gags and choices for different ages (and no one at the same time) that you could argue that wouldn't have worked well,but it did and i think Ramshackle does as well
Honestly just from the title, Mega Based, I watched that pilot so excited thinking it would be one of the greats, but in the end, I'm gonna be honest, I could barely finish the episode

THIS! I keep mentioning how boring it was and how the ending with the angel made no sense and/or was a lazy attempt at an unfunny joke. I clicked off halfway through because It was so boring that I couldn't focus. Eventually, I finished it, but I feel like people's hype for this pilot is kinda forced since most of the ones who were excited for it came from the webtoon I think

I know, the show ended a year or two ago but you should review Meta Runner, Glitch's first and best show. The first two seasons are really good but the third and final season was rushed. Mainly because by then they turned their attention to Murder drones despite that, it's a good season but was just rushed.

Don’t want to sound rude or anything, but getting thoughts from vanity to watch the pilot or not, i’m sorry but that sounds pretty stupid and just watch the pilot, no hatred to vanity or anything I genuinely like his content, but vanity is the hard guy to impress, and yes his criticism is (sometimes) valid, but most people will not mind these and enjoy the pilot. As much as I really liked the pilot cuz this series seems right up my alley, I 100% agree with you. Even tho my opinion on the pilot is a bit more positive than yours, some of the elements were uninteresting, uninspired and done to death. So I can clear up your confusion about how it could have swearing that lands it in an older age range and jokes that land it in a younger age range. This show is meant to appeal to adults who have nostalgia for the cartoons they grew up with. The language and serious subject matter makes adults feel like they’re not condescended to and the younger style jokes are made to give adults that nostalgic feeling and even those younger style jokes have hard edges. That explains who the writers are trying to appeal to. It sounds like this is a preference thing where you’re just missing what everyone else sees due to your personal preferences and biases. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. We all have our blind spots.

I think I understand your opinion, tho I feel like it falls more under the "personal taste might not be aligned" than "it's not good." I will 100% agree with you that it has basically no narrative potential or setup and while I usually find that as a heartbreaker for shows (especially helluva boss and murder drones currently), this really felt like it was trying to be a silly episodic show and nothing more, and I enjoyed it. Monkey Wrench has so much more narrative potential and quality writing than ramshackle, but if view counts are any metric to go by, something can still be "good," or even at least "loved" if it's writing and narrative is bad. Ramshackle doesn't do much thinking, not nearly as much as arcane or murder drones, but even those shows do different types of thinking and most would say arcane does it better. Yet Ramshackle is nevertheless great because it does make you feel, yet it might not make you feel. I watched the 2005 pride and prejudice with my family, and while they all loved it and made them feel a lot, it didn't do much for me, but I can conclude it is still art because of how it was presented and what it made them feel.
@@calvineagar1863 the characters to me feel one dimensional, the story doesn’t feel like it needs a reason to exist, I’ve seen it be done better in different places, the concept of the rich is bad and our main characters are poor is nothing new to me, the characters never play off of each other the jokes feel more like memes than jokes, everything is so safe it feels like an animators first attempt at writing, it never gets me invested. I would’ve liked the biblical angel joke it feels very flap jack but it honestly just feels like the writers attempt to end the story early because they never knew which direction to take the story, there’s no stakes everything works in the main characters favor and then it abruptly ends, leaving the only semi interesting part of it (the baby) who actually made the characters kind of play off of each other to be eliminated from the story

I liked the pilot but my problem is that there's nowhere for the story to go. The main conflict is solved and while it is the pilot most indie pilots I've seen can actually has more plot to be expanded if it succeeded. Unless it's just a monster of the week type I can't see it going far.
Agree 100%! The animation and style is amazing and I’m really trying to like it, but as an episode it doesn’t show off the characters well enough. Also, kinda a nitpick but something I noticed while watching was lack of sfx and music. Music brings life to scenes and the lack of it made it feel empty.
Finally! I thought I was the weird one to find this shit boring, my balls dropped watching this, the orange hairs guy (forgot his name for how forgetable he is) litterally is a worse version than N/Moxxie/Freckle, just another nice guy but here, zero twist, I really don't care for these characters, also the humor is annoying, it litterally fails at being a pilot

Copied my own comment from a different video but figured to share here as well. I agree with the notion that the pilot could be better. Great animation but the writing isn’t my cup of tea. I think it wants to be a show for adults yet it relies on jokes that are more akin to shows for more younger demographic. While that’s not a bad thing it doesn’t seem to have that balance and leaves me confused wondering who is supposed to be the target audience. Adults can be at risk of being alienated by the juvenile humor and younger kids can be at risk of being alienated by the swearing. So in the end the show seems to be trying to attract both audiences and risk losing both. However this is a pilot so it has plenty of time to improve the writing and I hope it succeeds with future episodes!
Me personally I don’t mind the humor or the style just the lack of foreseeable future doesn’t make me want to watch the series to come. Let’s look at the other pilots like murder drones uzi wanted to kill all humans and we were left on that we wanted to come back to watch more to see if she achieves her goal. The amazing digital circus incentivized the audience to continue watching with a psychological unstable characters and promises of new adventures. We had ideas of interesting goals for the characters but in ramshackle the baby turns out to be an angel and ends up solving the evil rich people problem the main caste kill a bunch of rich people with no idea or hint of repercussion for their actions that would REALLY enhance the idea of rich vs poor but it’s not I’m rather disappointed with lack of goals from characters we barely know anything about their pasts and that’s just the pilot
I absolutely love the art-style of Ramshackle. I love 2D animation that is rough around the edges with sketch lines left intentionally in some frames, that’s why I love Lackadaisy. Additionally the simple character designs feel like a breath of fresh air compared to shows like Hazbin/Helluva where every single character is overly complex and flashy to the point where it’s hard to pay attention. My problem that when you make a pilot episode, it should give you an idea on what the rest of the series entails. The murder drones pilot left you with the idea that Uzi will have conflict with his dad and the mystery of who sent the murder drones needs to be solved. The Lackadaisy pilot left the mystery of what Mordecai’s motives were and will Rocky and Freckle succeed in their bootlegging business. The Hazbin pilot establishes that the rest of the series will be conflict with the wacky zany characters in the hotel and figuring out what Alastor really wants. The Ramshackle pilot doesn’t leave the viewer with anything on what to expect from the rest of the show. The angel twist came out from left field like something out of regular show. (regular show was amazing, but that’s because regular show established that Absurd unexpected things should be expected) Like I genuinely don’t know what the rest of the show is supposed to be about. Like is it about the three kids scamming/fight rich people? Is it about super natural entities? Like wtf is going on?
i heavily appreciate the animation and i applaud those who worked on this show! but god i fear that a lot of indie animation shows will suffer in mediocrity from writing. i can only hope the show gets better
I barely could finish the pilot, it was not... That encaging. The animation is FANTASTIC but the world building and characters are not that interesting.
The creator literally said it was gonna be "south-park-level silly." Yes, there's raunchy humor. Yes, there's weird stuff. YES the writing WILL NOT BE PERFECT. Don't forget this is the PILOT. Have you seen the pilots for some old Disney shows like Gravity Falls and Amphibia? Even the BLUEY, the damn BLUEY pilot was rough around the edges. Us indie animation fans are super spoiled because we're used to pilots like Hazbin Hotel, Lackadaisy, and TADC, but don't forget what a pilot is normally supposed to be; A pitch. Zeddyzi is just showing us a taste of the Ramshackle world for now, which will likely be expanded as time goes on, and will improve with practice (Keep in mind this is her first full-length show/comic. Vivizepop started with Zoophobia under her belt, and Liam Vickers with Cliffside + Internecion cube). And one more thing; please please PLEASE don't forget how rough the writing was for the Murder Drones pilot, but look at where the show is now! The pilot for Ramshackle could have been better, but I have faith it's going to improve. Also fun fact; Zeddyzi said Ramshackle doesn't take place in any time period and it's its own thing. The closest she could describe it was 1800s-1900s with a few modern items that managed to seep through.
What do you mean the gravity falls pilot is rough around the edges? It's so good that they used they reused the same script as the first episode. Same thing for the Bluey episode, so good they reused it as episode 6. That's what happens when you focus on making a good script, the art can easily be improved but a bad story needs to be completely redone. Shouldn't pitches still be good if they want to be picked up?

Rick and Morty, for example, would be considered a kids show if you removed all the swearing and adult jokes. Helluva Boss would also be a kids show if you removed all the adult jokes and swearing.

This is why I think adventure time was amazing because it dealt with very dark and heavy themes without relying on crass language and humor.

@@Axolotl_12358 Give some credit where credit is due. Rick and Morty does occasionally dive into actually dark topics in an intelligent and meaningful manner. Just in season 7, they deal with consumerism and literally the meaning of life in the spaghetti episode as well as the fear of abandonment in the final episode "Rick no Mort". They obviously also have episodes that are just humor, but it is a comedy show after all. Personally, I really enjoy their balance of only sprinkling the heavy stuff into an otherwise bizarre show.

As much as I love Japanese media, I definitely know that anime is to blame for the "apathetic edgelord who goes soft" trope being as overdone as it is. This is a message to all writers and animators: not every second protagonist has to be a Sasuke Uchiha clone! As for the "Golden Retriever boy" trope, I'm not surprised that it has gone from being subversive within the indie sphere to becoming the grim norm in such a short amount of time. Btw, I love that frame where VM basically called Sir Pentious, N, Moxxie, and one other guy (I dunno his name cuz I haven't seen Lackadaisy) the same character LMAOOOOO! 🤣

One thing I’ll say for the set era, which is supposed to be in like the early 20th century as you said, is that it doesn’t really portray it consistently, because you’d find some random characters that look like they’re from the 1920s or like the 21st century (etc. lady posing for the red carpet). I feel like the show is having a bit of trouble establishing a consistent theme, and I feel like they should do a bit more exploration of its era so that way it would be more consistent
I'm glad I wasn't alone in thinking similarly. Personally my immediate thoughts was "Oh this show is just gonna say 'rich man bad' and that's the only substance we're getting", because I felt like "rich man bad" was brought up constantly throughout the pilot, to be fair to the show, if the show is continued, the newer episodes could be brilliant and I'd love the show. I know personally I wanted to blow my brains out watching the Murder Drones pilot due to the forced unfunny jokes and attempts at meta-humour but I stuck through the rest of the show and it ended up being my favorite piece of animated media behind Invincible. There's hope for Ramshackle but if its just gonna be "Rich person bad, let's eat and kill rich person because I'm eternally living on Twitter!" Then count me out.

I’m sorry, but I can’t agree with you on Skipp. Yes he is the least interesting, but the fact that you compare him to other “nice guys” is a huge disservice. Moxxie is nice but very uptight and insecure. N is much more silly and excitable. Freckle is reluctant and timid, and even has a secret unhinged side, and Sir Pentious is a bumbling idiot who means well. None of these characters are the exact same just because they are nice. Even Skipp shows some character by trying to bring out the best in others even if it means breaking the class barrier. Would Stone or Vinny even think about talking to a rich person? No.
But he's kinda JUST a nice guy which isn't that interesting, atleast in the way they portray him in the show. He is just missing some thing to make him not forgetable, which he definetly is.

yeah, it feels like there's no winning with writing characters, because if you write an apathetic jerk you get slammed for making them be apathetic and a jerk, but then if you write a nice character then they get called "boring" and get compared to other characters even when there's no similarities, so like what are you wanting lmao.
there's only so many traits a character can have, of course there's going to be some shared with characters from other things, doesn't make it a cheap rehash.

I have to disagree on the lead female character (don’t remember her name at all). I’ve seen this character so many times i instantly felt repulsed. This is the typical ‘aggressive tomboy girl with heart of gold’. And even without that we have plenty male characters with the same vibe/personality. But overall I agree that cast made me feel bored. The tumblr sexyman, the good natured twink and the dominant lady - I feel like I’ve seen this so many times before

THIS! I keep mentioning how boring it was and how the ending with the angel made no sense and/or was a lazy attempt at an unfunny joke. I clicked off halfway through because It was so boring that I couldn't focus. Eventually, I finished it, but I feel like people's hype for this pilot is kinda forced since most of the ones who were excited for it came from the webtoon I think

I know, the show ended a year or two ago but you should review Meta Runner, Glitch's first and best show. The first two seasons are really good but the third and final season was rushed. Mainly because by then they turned their attention to Murder drones despite that, it's a good season but was just rushed.

Don’t want to sound rude or anything, but getting thoughts from vanity to watch the pilot or not, i’m sorry but that sounds pretty stupid and just watch the pilot, no hatred to vanity or anything I genuinely like his content, but vanity is the hard guy to impress, and yes his criticism is (sometimes) valid, but most people will not mind these and enjoy the pilot.

So I can clear up your confusion about how it could have swearing that lands it in an older age range and jokes that land it in a younger age range. This show is meant to appeal to adults who have nostalgia for the cartoons they grew up with. The language and serious subject matter makes adults feel like they’re not condescended to and the younger style jokes are made to give adults that nostalgic feeling and even those younger style jokes have hard edges. That explains who the writers are trying to appeal to. It sounds like this is a preference thing where you’re just missing what everyone else sees due to your personal preferences and biases. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. We all have our blind spots.

I think I understand your opinion, tho I feel like it falls more under the "personal taste might not be aligned" than "it's not good." I will 100% agree with you that it has basically no narrative potential or setup and while I usually find that as a heartbreaker for shows (especially helluva boss and murder drones currently), this really felt like it was trying to be a silly episodic show and nothing more, and I enjoyed it. Monkey Wrench has so much more narrative potential and quality writing than ramshackle, but if view counts are any metric to go by, something can still be "good," or even at least "loved" if it's writing and narrative is bad. Ramshackle doesn't do much thinking, not nearly as much as arcane or murder drones, but even those shows do different types of thinking and most would say arcane does it better. Yet Ramshackle is nevertheless great because it does make you feel, yet it might not make you feel. I watched the 2005 pride and prejudice with my family, and while they all loved it and made them feel a lot, it didn't do much for me, but I can conclude it is still art because of how it was presented and what it made them feel.
@@calvineagar1863 the characters to me feel one dimensional, the story doesn’t feel like it needs a reason to exist, I’ve seen it be done better in different places, the concept of the rich is bad and our main characters are poor is nothing new to me, the characters never play off of each other the jokes feel more like memes than jokes, everything is so safe it feels like an animators first attempt at writing, it never gets me invested. I would’ve liked the biblical angel joke it feels very flap jack but it honestly just feels like the writers attempt to end the story early because they never knew which direction to take the story, there’s no stakes everything works in the main characters favor and then it abruptly ends, leaving the only semi interesting part of it (the baby) who actually made the characters kind of play off of each other to be eliminated from the story

I liked the pilot but my problem is that there's nowhere for the story to go. The main conflict is solved and while it is the pilot most indie pilots I've seen can actually has more plot to be expanded if it succeeded. Unless it's just a monster of the week type I can't see it going far.

The animation and style is amazing and I’m really trying to like it, but as an episode it doesn’t show off the characters well enough.
Also, kinda a nitpick but something I noticed while watching was lack of sfx and music. Music brings life to scenes and the lack of it made it feel empty.
Finally! I thought I was the weird one to find this shit boring, my balls dropped watching this, the orange hairs guy (forgot his name for how forgetable he is) litterally is a worse version than N/Moxxie/Freckle, just another nice guy but here, zero twist, I really don't care for these characters, also the humor is annoying, it litterally fails at being a pilot
I only watched because of the hype that was building up to it, and I made sure to watch if with an open mind since it's obviously not Helluva boss or Hazbin Hotel. Even having an open mind didn't stop me from feeling bored from how bland the plot felt😭
Copied my own comment from a different video but figured to share here as well. I agree with the notion that the pilot could be better. Great animation but the writing isn’t my cup of tea. I think it wants to be a show for adults yet it relies on jokes that are more akin to shows for more younger demographic. While that’s not a bad thing it doesn’t seem to have that balance and leaves me confused wondering who is supposed to be the target audience. Adults can be at risk of being alienated by the juvenile humor and younger kids can be at risk of being alienated by the swearing. So in the end the show seems to be trying to attract both audiences and risk losing both. However this is a pilot so it has plenty of time to improve the writing and I hope it succeeds with future episodes!

Me personally I don’t mind the humor or the style just the lack of foreseeable future doesn’t make me want to watch the series to come. Let’s look at the other pilots like murder drones uzi wanted to kill all humans and we were left on that we wanted to come back to watch more to see if she achieves her goal. The amazing digital circus incentivized the audience to continue watching with a psychological unstable characters and promises of new adventures. We had ideas of interesting goals for the characters but in ramshackle the baby turns out to be an angel and ends up solving the evil rich people problem the main caste kill a bunch of rich people with no idea or hint of repercussion for their actions that would REALLY enhance the idea of rich vs poor but it’s not I’m rather disappointed with lack of goals from characters we barely know anything about their pasts and that’s just the pilot

I absolutely love the art-style of Ramshackle. I love 2D animation that is rough around the edges with sketch lines left intentionally in some frames, that’s why I love Lackadaisy. Additionally the simple character designs feel like a breath of fresh air compared to shows like Hazbin/Helluva where every single character is overly complex and flashy to the point where it’s hard to pay attention.
My problem that when you make a pilot episode, it should give you an idea on what the rest of the series entails.
The murder drones pilot left you with the idea that Uzi will have conflict with his dad and the mystery of who sent the murder drones needs to be solved.
The Lackadaisy pilot left the mystery of what Mordecai’s motives were and will Rocky and Freckle succeed in their bootlegging business.
The Hazbin pilot establishes that the rest of the series will be conflict with the wacky zany characters in the hotel and figuring out what Alastor really wants.
The Ramshackle pilot doesn’t leave the viewer with anything on what to expect from the rest of the show. The angel twist came out from left field like something out of regular show. (regular show was amazing, but that’s because regular show established that Absurd unexpected things should be expected) Like I genuinely don’t know what the rest of the show is supposed to be about. Like is it about the three kids scamming/fight rich people? Is it about super natural entities? Like wtf is going on?

I barely could finish the pilot, it was not... That encaging. The animation is FANTASTIC but the world building and characters are not that interesting.
The creator literally said it was gonna be "south-park-level silly." Yes, there's raunchy humor. Yes, there's weird stuff. YES the writing WILL NOT BE PERFECT. Don't forget this is the PILOT. Have you seen the pilots for some old Disney shows like Gravity Falls and Amphibia? Even the BLUEY, the damn BLUEY pilot was rough around the edges. Us indie animation fans are super spoiled because we're used to pilots like Hazbin Hotel, Lackadaisy, and TADC, but don't forget what a pilot is normally supposed to be; A pitch. Zeddyzi is just showing us a taste of the Ramshackle world for now, which will likely be expanded as time goes on, and will improve with practice (Keep in mind this is her first full-length show/comic. Vivizepop started with Zoophobia under her belt, and Liam Vickers with Cliffside + Internecion cube). And one more thing; please please PLEASE don't forget how rough the writing was for the Murder Drones pilot, but look at where the show is now! The pilot for Ramshackle could have been better, but I have faith it's going to improve.
Also fun fact; Zeddyzi said Ramshackle doesn't take place in any time period and it's its own thing. The closest she could describe it was 1800s-1900s with a few modern items that managed to seep through.
What do you mean the gravity falls pilot is rough around the edges? It's so good that they used they reused the same script as the first episode. Same thing for the Bluey episode, so good they reused it as episode 6. That's what happens when you focus on making a good script, the art can easily be improved but a bad story needs to be completely redone. Shouldn't pitches still be good if they want to be picked up?
