So sorry to hear about your mishap with the picker. I had been checking for new videos but could not find any new ones. Did you finish your picking? We hope so. Good to see you are back .
Thanks for watching and thinking of us. We finished a week ago tonight! It’s been tough. I’m going to take off a week or two and catch up on some work around the house and then get started on 21. I plan to keep posting new videos this year. Please tell you friends about is. We need to get to 1000 subscribers soon. Thanks again!
@@JenkinsFarmsJayFlorida will do we run 3 7760s and have rebuilt The fan drives on all them but we never knew about that valve on the chassis block. So we will be keeping a check on those now. I hope all goes well for u. And thanks again.
Travis from south Texas. Just had exact same thing happen last Friday. Fortunately is was on our last few acres. Unfortunately it is going to cost me a ton. We had about 200 hours on new style fan drive. Replaced a fan belt and a few hours later bye bye engine. No fun. Any advice? Seems like Deere should help us out. Wonder how much of a known problem this is?
It’s a well known problem. When I posted these videos when we were going through it , I got lots of responses that other people had gone through the same thing. That was almost 2 years ago and I still frequently get messages like yours. It hasn’t been very long ago that I got a message stating the same thing. The new style drive failed and ruined the engine. There was one guy… I believe from Texas , that removed the variable rate drives and fabricated a direct drive on 3 pickers. He sent a video. It’s stressful knowing in the back of your mind that you are sitting on a ticking bomb. Good luck and holler if I can help.
Hi Ryan from Australia, and thanks for the video, we have just had the same disaster happen to a CP690 which had the new style fan drive fitted less than 300 hours ago on a machine of less than 800 engine hours total. Was rebuilding the engine much cheaper than a new complete replacement engine and do JD do remanufactured ones still?
Wow. That doesn’t sound good. I was wondering if the new style fan drive would be any better after being run for some hours. The story I was told from someone who was very familiar with these machines in the beginning said that both fan drives were available at the time and the engineers picked the old style drive to move forward with. After they started having trouble with those drives they decided to try the new style drive that we are using now. I was a little worried that it may not be a true fix. To answer your other question… as far as I know you can still get factory reman engines. Thanks for watching.
the grease fiting greases only the movment of the shivs not the bearing. {from my knowledge} I think they go bed bay force of the belt .from my experience of engine go ded check also water pump .similar method gear inside engune bearing failure balls falls in to the engien damages the crank.same story
Deere should step up and help you looks like a flawed design to me 1900 hour engine failure I know makes you sick I am sorry for you to have to go they this
Glad you`re back!

Is there 2 different varieties in this field

I’ve heard the same about the water pump.
Another thing can you sell sithesis cotton ? in israel we stuck with stock from 2018 about shut of the gins.
New product improvement on fan drive should be greaseless both driven and drive need to be replaced at same time
You are correct. Replace both. New ones are non-greaseable. There were not any codes. Thanks for watching!
About how much did this cost?
Haven’t gotten the bill yet, but at last check, it was a little over $80,000.
No codes?
None
