My son recommended this channel about a year ago. Just started with disc golf then. Playing with friends now. Catch is a wonderful talk show.
i loved Bens story of quitting smoking by vaping. i have been an advocate of this for 11 yrs since i quit after 40 yrs smoking. i also loved the casual format but in depth info at the same time. well done.
I love seeing the genuine happy faces from just throwing and loving the sport.
Great episode. Love these casual conversations. The comparison between Nyjah and Paul is great. Two of the most clutch athletes of all time and still just hanging on with the new generation.

Disc Golf history is the best. Every time I find out something new about it's origins and frisbee origins in general I feel good. Also, I'm gonna have to get myself on that Ben Calloway exercise regiment. I'm also 36 and finding out how much more I need to do to feel loose and pain free. Ben might actually be my new hero

Not even 2 minutes in and felt the need to comment. THANK YOU! Ben and Brian, disc golf is about being around friends with the same passionate common interest. We as fans love to see the pros compete, but if you’re a “la dou” and think because you’re good that everyone is gonna like you, get bent! So modern era, kids take note, wdgaf how good you are or are not, it’s how you interact with the ogs, cause love em or hate em, without them….there’s no you! (In a disc golf, sense of the statement) This has been a from the ground up movement and I think people tend to forget that! Do you who got disc golf into your town? I’d like to think if you don’t, you ask around and figure it out. A little bit of conversation goes along way with us, “old heads”
When is putting game going to start?
If it stops being fun, pause and re-evaluate what brings you enjoyment. I always want to improve my game, but even my worst round, I still enjoy being out on the course. My favorite course is the one I am on at the moment. Enjoy the ride. We are not on this earth long at all.
As a casual player, I always say that a bad round on the course is better than no round on the course. What did I learn, get to practice, have fun with? I “try” to compete against myself rather than my group.
That they left the 4th wall audio in when they left the coffee shop was great.

I skateboarded for 10 years about 10 years ago and I recently got into disc golf. I thought Ben looked familiar the first time I saw him on a lead/chase card but couldn't place it. I also can't find much on Google about Ben's skateboarding so I'm not sure if I'm actually remembering anything.

Being an old school disc golfer, I dislike….sounds harsh, some of the things in the modern tour based game & interneters leave a disgusting taste in my mouth. Like are we disc golfers or a f’All “business” striving for capitol and commercial revenue from sponsors. All the pga tour country club vibes. Why I am a huge fan of Ben Callaway is he’s a disc golfer! He’s the epitome of a og disc golfer the kind the frisbee family loves! Of course he’s gonna present himself professionally and fit right in, it’s year 3 coming up, I’ll I gotta say I’d Ben will have a great year! Dudes a freakin baller! S/o Discraft and Ben, and the Brandel Chamblee of disc golf….Mr Brian Earhart! You think I’m talking shxt with the Brandel remark, it’s a needle….however if you Google his wife you kinda understand it’s not meant in a disrespectful way! It’s just funny, listening to him try to get the champ explain why they didn’t throw forehand was hilarious! Brian guys like that don’t change for trends, yes trends….dg will soon realize that the forehand is gonna continue to cause injury! There’s a reason why MLB pitchers don’t sidearm, if they do they are Dennis Eckersly and or a closer! It’s unsustainable! Arm cannot handle, elbow cannot handle it, you know that! How’s your arm?

you don't need to set the stage for these stupid little cinematic set-ups like walking to and from the table. we don't give af about staged actions being presented, we care about the real life.

If you really don't have the time to watch 10 seconds, or figure out how to skip forward in the video, maybe spend less time writing out RUclips comments
Speaking as someone who does video production much like this, setting the stage, even if briefly, is essential for getting the viewer interested in and ready for what's to come. I like to know where I am and what's going on before getting into the action. Seeing them walk away from the table for 5 seconds gives a better sense of flow and is less jarring than just cutting to them throwing in some random field. Personally I thought it was kinda funny that they left the mic on with Brian describing what the edit would look like. I love those little winks and nods to the production guys lol. This whole show is incredibly real and the 5% of the footage that comes from somewhat staged events are only there to help tell the story in a way that makes the most sense when using the medium of video.
