Relationship with God is number ONE .! In prayer, consecrate ( give ) your home and land to the Lord . He will protect you, your family , your home and property . Sadly....so many are prepping and don't have a relationship with the Lord . It will avail them nothing . If we don't have God protecting us....none of us will survive what's coming 🙏🙏🙏
For me strengthening that relationship with God also helps reduce any fear surrounding my preparedness and things that are going on in the world. When I trust God, preparation is done out of a desire to be self reliant instead of panic.
I don't have a ton of preps but a decent amount. My "spidey sense" is telling me I have enough. That it is now time to concentrate on my spiritual preparation.
I have an enormous kitchen sink. I’ve always done my dishes in a large bowl or wash pan. When I’m done, I water my plants outside. The hot summer has required watering my plants, but with soapy dishwasher, I get my plants watered and the bugs hate the soapy water, keeping my plants healthy!
We’ve been doing the same. We also catch the cold water while waiting for the hot water to get through. We finally got a rain shower this afternoon. 🙌🏻🙌🏻
@@mrskimmieg I do too… my husband has been so surprised at how much water I collect that would normally just go down the drain. We have a well for water, so we try to be careful with our water use.
some plants that need acidic soil can be watered with leftover coffee, which can be gradually collected in a bucket coffee grounds are also a good addition to soil improvement in the garden
Jonathan & Kylene, I decided to take one topic per week over each of the next 10 weeks, making that the topic of focus for an entire week - where to spend time, attention, inventory and devote any extra resources (plus make a prioritized shopping list for extra money that comes my way). In 10 weeks, I’ll have had one full run through each area of preparation and can start over again or supplement as necessary. I found trying to cover too many topics at once freaked me out & scattered my energy. Now 4-5 times a year, I’m focused on one thing at a time. I can watch all the videos & articles on … gardening or first aid or water, as appropriate, and keep baby stepping my way until “it’s” needed.
I’m spending time finishing my small solar backup, topping off water supplies, adding beans and rice (I am sure someone will need a help with food), And praying that any thing that could happen will wait until mid August as part of my family is working out of state for the summer.
Long story as short as possible. Almost died yesterday after bee stings, didn't know that would bee (pun intended) ever an issue. and my 16 yr old on a learners permit had to stop halfway to the hospital only to stand and watch me get carted off in an ambulance after calling 911. He got a police escort back home and a lecture for speeding, but no ticket. (Best kid anyone could ask for, and very calm under pressure. Proudest dad ever! I've really decide to make sure my family is prepared for anything. Been half arsed prepping for about a year now, but time to get serious. I've followed you guys for some time now and find the positivity refreshing. The doom and gloom preppers are over the top and I can't take it anymore regardless of the info they provide, and I truly despise the anonymous ai voice over trash with stock photos. You guys are the best out there. Thank you soo very much for the great content and God bless you and your family.
I've been trying to gather as many free resources and info as possible as money is tight, can you guys list for me and others the best print resources you guys know of please? I, and others trust you guys a lot and any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
You are so incredibly kind! I'm so glad that you are okay. Do you have Epi pens now? That is a terrifying experience! Great job raising that son of yours!
I was thinking the exact same thing, God & Jesus should be first, not last. God will always take care of what needs to be taken care of, we just need to stay in his word. Many, many people feel that something may happen soon, we just don't know what. My family and I live in Miami where the heart of hurricane season is right around the corner so everyone is preparing in some way but with inflation being so high, it's more difficult than normal. I read two chapters in the Bible daily and listen to a Dr. David Jeremiah segment so let me get to that. May God bless everyone and keep your faith strong.
I've been feeling this way for quite a while. It feels like we are all on this tightrope and we keep coming so close to falling. I'm continuing to prep. One prep I need to work on is security - specifically cameras outside. I also find I'm talking more to God and spending more time in his word.
Yes! Told husband recently that it felt there was something bad coming. A week later our central A/C unit blew up. Then this past weekend was the assassination attempt. It feels like things are going to get far worse. Our "hole" is medical related. We have some emergency med supplies and equipment but I really should take a first aid course - was an emergency first responder at work but that was 10 years ago. Thank you for the reminder to check, check, and re-check!
If one follows ancient prophecy - and not Nostrildumaz either - the current events aren't surprising. I don't often get a theory validated but the recent event was one. Although I've prepped for decades, I am resolved that I will not survive an apocalyptic event. I do hope that I can die with honor and not in vain, keeping my loved ones safe.
good boots and socks, 10 inch high top boots and those indestructible gloves, pants and shirts, along with the jackets appropriate to your area... those clothes are very expensive but worth every penny.
Five months ago, a large section of Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma were burned in wildfires. My village was completely evacuated and I began packing some clothes. By the time that was done, there was no room left in the car for food, etc. Then, we learned that the only route out of town had been closed. We thought we were ready - we weren't. Thankfully, our house survived but, many friends and associates lost everything. More careful planning is needed. Thanks for everything you do.
I'm in Oregon. Basically the entire state is under red flag which means 'pack stuff, know where you are going'. We have SO MANY FIRES. I keep my 2 bug out totes packed plus our 2 bags & a list on paper & on my phone of last minute things to do (like watering the roof) & things to grab. Luckily last night's big thunderstorm had RAIN!!! Most don't. We rarely get rain between May & Oct.
@dfreak01 I feel ya, from Australia. There's a story in the family off ggma seeing the fire across the paddock, she ran inside to call the neighbour and by the time she ran out again it was nearly at the house. There was a documentary about the black Saturday fires and people donated their footage from the day. I noticed one family didn't know how much fuel was in the car, didn't know where the keys were, Dad wanted to stay and fight and Mum wanted to leave. These decisions must be made well beforehand. A property can be defended but you really have to know what you're doing. The advice now is leave. Have a plan, and practice it.
Here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and southern Louisiana, scientist say we get "tiny" earthquakes. We do have to worry about hurricanes and sometimes tornadoes can be spawned inside a hurricane or just by a severe thunderstorm. "Inland flooding" and "storm surge" are concerns in our area but inland flooding can affect people many miles from a hurricane! FYI: scientist are forecasting a super bad hurricane season this season (from now and thru the next several months).
Ahhh, Baton Rouge! I attended a seminar there and extended my stay to enjoy touring the area, the history, oh that music and the FOOD! Great place to live and enjoy life. ❤ Stay safe!
#10 minus the zero for me! When I stop, and listen. The rest falls into place. It gets done, I fill holes that I didn't know I had. The Lord always, ALWAYS gets us ready well before any thing might be, or will be needed. Ours is hurricanes. But there is ONE thing we all do have in common and that is water, and not the drinking kind. How about the flooding kind? The sink running over kind, the tub overfilling kind, the washer hose bursting kind! Have you heard of quick dams? That little orange bucket holds more saving measures than you know. Water pipes break, Rain pours in...there are a lot of combinations that you can get. Door barriers for flooding, to small leak bags to catch that drip. People OFTEN never prepare for water. They store water, but rarely prepare for water...Something to think about.
During Katrina the rain poured in under the house eaves and down the walls. My home is elevated enough so no problem with flooding. After the rain stopped, we mopped up and opened up the house to dry. No sheet rock in this home. The solid wood walls dried and didn't warp. No mold or mildew either. Back when I started renovating, I routed a V along the edge of planks and nailed them to the walls. Jesus is also The Master Carpenter. (I think He got that from Joseph.) He knew what was/is coming and gave me the ideas. Isn't He amazing!!
Kylene I would love a video talking through your top earthquake tips! I live in Oregon and that is something that we need to do better at! I would also love to see another video about security, especially those things us women can do and plan for. My husband does not feel the same need as I do to protect our home against invaders. He grew up in the 'leave the keys in the car in case someone needs to move it borrow it ' place and I did not. And now we have two preteen girls that we need to protect and I'm sending a big lack in this area. I fully agree with you about getting as close to the Father as we can. I'm reading through the Bible start to finish and talking with my just about what it means to pray, to talk to God as well as to listen! We so often forget that part! Thank you for this video. My spider senses are almost on overload right now!
I agree with your “spidey senses” something is afoot. Unfortunately I and many other folks are in an apartment and limited on what we can do. I myself live on the third floor with no balcony. I’m really limited on what I can do and how I can prepare. I’ve looked into solar batteries but I have no way to safely recharge them. I fear that if I went downstairs to recharge them I could put myself in danger. I envy you for having each other and a home where you can genuinely prepare! The solar system you’ve installed is awesome! But having a relationship with god is the key. We have to trust that whatever is coming we are safe no matter our situation.
Anyone who is aware has spidey-overload right now. Today is Amazon Prime day so I was able to save money on a few needed things. Because it's summer, one of my items is a temporary water storage bladder. I found one that fits inside my outdoor storage bench and a another, black that will easily hide under plants. An extra 200 gallons stored outside, takes up no room in my house. When freezing temps come, I can empty and store away or move them into the garage.
Absolutely trust God in all things! AND be His hands as you prepare to be self-reliant and a blessing to others during challenging times. He absolutely can feed thousands with a few loaves and fishes but more often than not he requires that I make dinner for my family with food that I have worked hard to provide.
I just had a natural gas generator (whole house) installed. It will automatically kick in when the electricity stops flowing from the utility company. So glad I got this done, it only costs $13000, and it was done in one day. I have slowly been using out of my pantry, which is well stocked. I need to re-inventory the pantry and fill in the missing gaps. By the way, this is an excellent time to order from the LDS online store. I ordered some oats and dried fruit from my relatives on the west coast, and it arrived within 3 - 4 days on regular postage! Love Love love your channel, and your positive attitudes!
Just went through my storage room and purged the food that was several years past the date. Gave food that I had overbought that was still good to a local food bank
Can I recommend a channel called Alaska Granny. She has done a lot of videos on the subject of food past it's BBE date. A lot, not all, is still good even years past date. Might be worth checking out just so you don't throw food away that, probably is still good.
@@noracharles80 that is sad. In Africa where we live, people would love to use it. In Southern Africa things are not so good, were still ok, but if food shortages will come over here, Africa will have many people dying of hunger.
Yes my senses are on super heightened edge. And it isn't going away. And I pray diligently as well. I always pray that if my "senses" are off for God to recalibrate me. 😀 He isn't recalibrating this. Soooo yes I'm focused now.
Don't be so sure you're not an earthquake risk! I'm in Melbourne Australia and we do get them down here, but I NEVER prepped for it, as they were small amd i personally never felt it. A few years ago we had quite a large one, and buildings were damaged. Our house has some small damage but if we have one any bigger, the building is not at all ready for that. Even if it's not destroyed it could be unsafe to come back in. Australia is very stable as a whole, but even so we could be affected. That was a wake up all for me.
Water is still my weak point. For some reason, the small creek that runs through my yard is now dry. I'm not comfortable trespassing to check the source of the creek. I have a well, but no way to get 220v to the pump if the power goes out. My house is insecure as anyone can put a cinder block through my many windows, or worse a Molotov cocktail.
Hello folks, I live in a small rural part somewhere in Mexico we´ve recentely had a lot of flooding do to heavy rain. All suggestions here are good points, I agree concentrating on the preps that are more important is the way to go. Stay safe everyone.
Yes my spidey senses are definitely talking. I need to organize a lot of my stuff that is stored. I have gone to look for things from time to time and it takes me forever to find them so I know I really need to get busy and organize. But wow, #10-Relationship with God is for sure the MOST important. I hear him saying "Come Closer". I do that from time to time but I know I need to be diligent especially now. Like you, Kylen, I want to be able to hear God when clearly he tells me to do something or NOT to do something. Thanks for a great video.
Jonathan: Your power system is impressive, but most off us can't afford to purchase a system that cost tens of thousands of dollars. With the current political climate we are entering into a cold war with China and no one knows how that will work itself out. For now things are semi-stable. The division in our own country is concerning. I continue to prep for emergencies, we are also overdue for an earthquake on the New Madrid fault. We no longer have gentle rains, but torrential deluges and straight line winds and tornadoes in abundance. Whether folks want to admit it or not climate change is very real. My granny always said prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Eat regionally, preserve the harvest and buy on sale and put it in your pantry. That is how I was raised and how I raised my family.
Very true. Even the Word of God speaks about tornado's. And come, they will. I had a dream about a nuclear war, and it will effect the USA. Pray for the lost.
here in Europe, people have been reminded to be prepared, after the start of a certain war, the state distributed advertisements asking them to get home supplies that will help them survive for at least 37 hours, some news even pointed out the best route to evacuate.
@@TheProvidentPrepper it is the recommended minimum time, but according to the new guidelines, the advice is as follows 72 hours is the preparedness recommendation for households prepared by the authorities and organizations For example, a prolonged power outage can cause a situation where services provided by society are disrupted or even interrupted. Homes should be prepared to manage independently for at least three days in the event of a disruption. It would be good if you could find food, water and medicine at home for at least three days. It would also be important to know the basics of preparedness, i.e. to know, for example, where to get the right information in the event of a disturbance and how to cope in a cold apartment. Self-preparedness of households is a great help to society and, above all, to the person himself. Therefore, everyone should be prepared for disruptions. I was taught at school in the 90s how to prepare for a nuclear attack, how to protect myself, and these exercises were often done. on the first Monday of every month, we test general danger alarms
We are paying attention to world/US political issues...we are concerned but not panicked. Living in a semi-rural area, we feel a bit safer but still we've worked on securing doors etc. We feel like our families as well as many friends are paying attention also, so hopefully we are on the same page... hopefully 😉
In my area tornadoes, floods, fires, and earthquakes. We are in the New Madrid fault area. I don't need water storage I have a well. And I don't need a bug out bag because there is only one contingency that would make me leave. If the death train that goes through at 3 am derails near me. If you live like the Amish then you don't have to worry about the power grid.
So impressed that you are going to be solar, but also EMP proof. Wow! I'm not able to do that now, but I did purchase an Ecoflow that will at least take care of my fridge for a few days. Have items for a bug out bag, but haven't been able to find the one I want. Always need to have my eye on water supply here.
number 8, NO! I still have plumbing fittings and nails and screws from 20 years ago or more ! save useful items... scenario- grid goes down permanently, no more stores or factories, nothing new available... all we have is what we saved, the people that have can barter ! I can honestly start my own shtf store at this point, save it !!!!!
it is worth getting a really comprehensive first aid kit at home, which also includes tourniquets for each member of the family, you should practice first aid skills and even take a course if you don't have the skills. it's worth checking if there are any activities in the nearby area where you could practice and map out different skills, sometimes in extreme situations you may have to work in a field kitchen or a field hospital. youtube is a good place to study things, but it's good to practice them with a group and in the right situations, for example spending a week in a cabin without electricity or running water.
Today Amazon had the Jackery 3000 pro solar generator on sale. I thought it was a pretty good deal, so I picked one up. They’re not cheap, but it’s awful Nice to be able to run your refrigerator or freezer with the sun.
one thing you might have forgotten is diapers and urinary catheters, because if the ability to move becomes impaired in a sudden accident, for example, and first aid is not immediately available, diapers are good for absorbing various liquids, catheters can be installed in the bladder, because emptying the bladder is also important, sometimes its function can be disrupted in the event of an accident.
I am an RN. Unless you have personally inserted a urinary catheter as a result of a job in the medical field, and know how, do not do so! You are likely to cause a urinary tract infection. Adult cloth diapers made of 100% cotton are your best bet. Stock up on plenty 100% cranberry juice for a UTI. Stock up on generic cream for jock itch. Get a ton for both men and women. Get a draw sheet for non ambulatory adults. Bed sores are the worst. Your heart is in the right place..Blessings.
Thank you for sharing all these helpful suggestions with us. Love what you said about listening to God for direction. I'm praying for us. God Bless you both. ♥️♥️
I'm getting some tingles, I just can't put my finger on what's coming. The world is so noisy, it's probably time I seek council on the mountain of the Lord and not put trust in my own hand.
Have you seen, the twilight zone episodes "the Shelter" and "The Monsters are due on Maple Street" That is what I feel like it will become with community..no matter how close you are and how much you build it...(I hope I am wrong)
Yes something is on the horizon. Im working hard everyday at what the Lord has laid on my heart to do which is move many items to the basement of my home. Why? I don't know. But where I live here smack in the heart of America we have risk for everything except a hurricane. And some of those things you need to go to the basement for. So, that's what I am doing.
@@TheProvidentPrepper question for you: how would people deal with eating utensils if they had to stay sheltered in the basement for 30 days? If you use disposable, trash is piling up. If you use dishes and wash them how do you dispose of the waste water?
My senses are telling me that a certain part of leadership is getting desperate. So look out. Healthy looking purslane you got there. I have some too. I grow weeds better than traditional garden plants. Except jalepenos. I can grow those. Went to Walmart today, a young clean cut fella had bought 2 cases of Mason jars w/lids. That was all. I was impressed. Went to get a couple of boxes of #6 birdshot. Almost $12 a box !! Low brass ! At Walmart ! Sticker shock. Hadn't needed to make that purchase in quite a few years, still not necessary, just evening up my preps. Everything else is secure for now. Us neighbors look out for each other. Also picked up some flying insect spray. I'll be ordering some more rodent poison this week. Pests are one of my concerns. (obviously) Trying to get rid of a skunk right now before it sprays my dog. Vinegar seems to work. Our county CERT team met last month and had a surprise grid search. We didn't know it was a drill, so had to organize and search. It was fun and a good experience. Tomorrow nights meeting is live fire extinguisher training. Each month is something different. It could be transporting the wounded, splinting or bandaging or even hydration and water disinfection methods after a disaster. We also just met and updated all our gear in preparation for hurricane season. (Virginia coast) It's good to make prepping a hobby.
Teach your neighbors how to garden, teach them skills that will help in emergencies. I have been making small penny stoves with grandkids and their friends. It is a small thing, but it gets them thinking “ what would I do in an emergency?”
Amen! It's an election year after all and there are some crazy things going. Which doesn't only affect the USA it affects the world. I'd also like to add mental and emotional preparedness/resilience as well! 🙏
You read my mind! As I saw all the unprepared people for Hurricane Beryl, it was eye opening! I did have to go to the store for an appliance extension cord out of caution, but I was shocked to see how many people did not have the basics and were aggravated that Walmart was not open for the storm. I will be picking up another one, but I only took what I needed at that moment as the shelf was down to 2 in the store. Do recommend the Jase medical kit again as the antibiotics have come in handy twice now for me. I can't pull the trigger on solar panels as the hail storms in Texas are becoming more frequent. I have been toying with a solar panel idea that I may implement this fall in cooler weather. Keep in mind some insurance companies in Texas are refusing to insure peeps with solar panels on their roofs. Entire solar farms were wiped out a few months back near my home.
Due to my husband's Alzheimer's we have had to relocate from Montana to Virginia to be closer to our sons. I had to downsize so very much to afford to move that now I only have a fraction of what I'd prepared. Basically starting over on prepping. In current world situation, I'm very frightened of not being ready. Advice?
That's rough! Try hard not to be afraid. Dealing with Alzheimer's is a tough challenge. Just do what you can. Make a little bit of progress every chance you get. Perhaps share your concerns with your sons and see if they can up their preps to help you. Ask God what you should do.
Hi Jill, Something that may help you to mitigate your husband's condition is to research Dr Christopher Exley's substack articles about how silicon-rich natural waters can facilitate the removal of al from our bodies. ( Dr Exley is an honest and dedicated scientist, and shares studies that prove his advice is sound.) I hope and pray this is a help...all the best .I remind myself of this scripture 2 Timothy 1,v 7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. As Jonathan and Kylene have said just do what you can. ( It's all any of us can do...blessings from a grandmum living on my own in a rural area of the South Island, New Zealand.)😘
We witnessed a miracle this last weekend. There's a reason for everything. G-d isnt finished with that man yet. Prep, yes, but be confident and trust G-d.
Of course, uncertain and challenging times lie ahead, but when have they ever been different? But when the spider senses are activated, instead of falling into blind actionism, you should listen carefully to what fears are really behind it. The result could be quite surprising. Often the cause has nothing to do with threats from outside but lies within you.
You can have all the supplies that will last you your lifetime but if you do not have the community to protect it and keep it it will be taking from you it takes a village that's to me the most important thing
You sound like Hilary Clinton. 😅 It takes a family, no community is going to put your interests above its own when it comes down to it. Family on the other hand, if you have them, are going to be your interest and you theirs.
Our risks are tornados and earthquakes. We are near the New Madrid fault in Missouri. We are hoping to install a tornado shelter soon. As far as earthquakes you made me realize I need to secure some things up. Especially my canning jars. Thank you. I love your videos. And YES. MY SENSES ARE GOING CRAZY. Something is up. And I as well want to get more in tune with God. Some here are saying calm down….trust in God. Absolutely! But God has given us warnings all throughout the scriptures and he expects us to not be stupid. He has instructed us through His word to PREPARE. Prepare and rely on Him.
We have had window film for years, and when we replaced some of our windows last year, we discovered that after time, window film becomes brittle, and offers no protection or value at all.
@@TheProvidentPrepper You asked an excellent question, and I wish I knew the answer. Our window film project was expensive, and we chose not to try it again for that reason. I have never contacted our provider since the original job, but I could call them if you're interested in what they would say.
@@rickmiller4947 Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to explore that with the guys that are potentially doing our window film before we sign the contract.
Uh oh...you mentioned that barley is not good for long term storage? I have quite a bit vacuum packed in mylar with O2 packets. Not good enough? Long term? Thanks.
Barley isn't a 25-30 year storage item. Just keep it rotated and you'll be fine. No problem storing it with an oxygen absorber in a Mylar bag. fdc.nal.usda.gov/fdc-app.html#/food-details/170284/nutrients
Thank you to you both for all you do. This question is specifically for Kylene. I too wear compression clothing due to my POTS Disautinomia. But I'm in the market for some compression stockings. Do you have a favorite brand that you buy? Thanks.
I struggle justifying the $50 a pair for the medical grade. I recently bought these amzn.to/4c2xRQN I was a bit worried because these are much less expensive. I've been really happy with them. I'll probably order some more sometime soon. I want to give them a good test run. I also bought another brand that I'm not very happy with.
We bought the pricy “pay for one and not a pair” compression socks for my Hubby - prescribed by his MD. In the end he absolutely loves the ones I bought for myself on Amazon (with a Halloween theme) they are super comfy and do the job as well. Buy one pricy sock and use it as a template for the cheaper socks. Socks should be washed after each wearing. Who can afford 4 to 7 pairs that need hand washing, when they have to be bought individually?
As always, another great presentation….thank you! Earlier this week, I pulled out my Prep Binder for a quick overview. Yikes, I see by my notes that haven’t been actively updating anything in there for 18 months. Yes, I have the solar generators and the comms - but were they charged? What’s my schedule to recharge equipment? To change stored water? I’ve added more veg seed this week (on sale prices now!) but didn’t have them stored in one place. Or stored in a stay-dry and stay-dark container. My weak point is still the “bug out”. Where do I go? How do I pick a location? I don’t need to gather family and I have no nearby family as a destination. What would be my criteria for selecting a location? Ordering maps from AAA. I’ll need to determine a spot that’s pretty close and not too attractive to masses of folks. Have you done a video on determining destinations?
Great question! I know the answer is always “it depends” - container, environmental conditions, substrate, etc. I keep water filters and purification tablets near the containers. Still - what’s a good rotation schedule? I’m figuring on 2 years for my containers, but have no facts to back that up. Glad you asked the Q.
I lost my husband several months ago suddenly and now I have new prepping concerns. How to manage certain things. I have always been independent but now I'm disabled and old. A new ball game 😢😮

I found trying to cover too many topics at once freaked me out & scattered my energy. Now 4-5 times a year, I’m focused on one thing at a time. I can watch all the videos & articles on … gardening or first aid or water, as appropriate, and keep baby stepping my way until “it’s” needed.
That is a fantastic approach!

BRILLIANT!
Great!
Wonderful idea. Can you share your list of ten?
I’m spending time finishing my small solar backup,
topping off water supplies,
adding beans and rice (I am sure someone will need a help with food),
And praying that any thing that could happen will wait until mid August as part of my family is working out of state for the summer.

Number 10 should be number one. God bless

No judgement from me. I also thought it should be 1st. But it should also be last. It wrapped it all very nicely.
Next time. ❤
I'm so very glad you are okay. My heart aches for those who aren't.
🙏
Thx to the Australian firefighters that are making the trip to 🇨🇦
To help with the mass fires here .😊
@@Brad-99 just returning the favour. Praying for everyone.
As always, thank you for your encouragement Jonathan and Kylene. Happy trails!
❤ Stay safe!
y'll are such an internet treasure! Keep it up. great advice that has inspired me to take another look at what I THINK I have in my preps!!!
You are incredibly kind! We LOVE your channel!
Yes, my spidey senses are tingling. Like they did in December 2019.
The first and last items on your list (relationships and God) aren't mentioned by other prepping channels. Nice to hear!
Dont people float..I float when I go to the beach
That relationship with God is the key! Ask him what you need to do to prepare, follow those promptings and keep trusting him. You got this!
Great idea 🎉
Calm down, panic doesn't solve anything. Trust God in all things.
Trust God but don’t be stupid. He gave you common sense for a reason.
Amen!!
Absolutely trust God in all things! AND be His hands as you prepare to be self-reliant and a blessing to others during challenging times. He absolutely can feed thousands with a few loaves and fishes but more often than not he requires that I make dinner for my family with food that I have worked hard to provide.
@@TheProvidentPrepper yes!! Consider the ant….
Isn't that the best reason TO prepare? So you don't HAVE to panic?!?
I just had a natural gas generator (whole house) installed. It will automatically kick in when the electricity stops flowing from the utility company. So glad I got this done, it only costs $13000, and it was done in one day. I have slowly been using out of my pantry, which is well stocked. I need to re-inventory the pantry and fill in the missing gaps.
By the way, this is an excellent time to order from the LDS online store. I ordered some oats and dried fruit from my relatives on the west coast, and it arrived within 3 - 4 days on regular postage!
Love Love love your channel, and your positive attitudes!
Thank you!
How about a 1300 dollar generator..and 10000..worth of fuel....would be my approach .but I like where your headed
Bless your soul for donating some food. I pray that the ones that really need it, will receive it. You might have been playing a rule in saving a life
In Washington State where we live the food bank will not accept food that is past the posted date on the can or jar😮.
@@noracharles80 that is sad. In Africa where we live, people would love to use it. In Southern Africa things are not so good, were still ok, but if food shortages will come over here, Africa will have many people dying of hunger.
Great sales on Amazon for Prime Day on Augason Farms.
" Time is of the essence" and the complacent will reap regret. Hold on, breathe and bear down. Here comes another contraction...
Well, I hope it really is still just "birth pangs," (as Jesus put it) and not birthing time.
Glad that you mentioned it. Things will get really bad, closer to the coming of Jesus.
You are such lovely people, I always get warm and fuzzy after watching you guys ✌️
Ahhh ... you are so kind. Thank you!
I'm anxious to put up solar b/c I feel like that would make me a target for sketchy neighbors
We recognize the concern. For us, the benefits outweighed the cost. Hopefully we will be able to be a blessing to our neighbors.
I've been working on filling the holes in my preps also. Plus, trying to update and re-organize my supplies.
Yes, I'm feeling it as well. I want to get my house in order and better prepared.
I agree, my spidey senses are going crazy too.
What is a spidey sense?

here in Europe, people have been reminded to be prepared, after the start of a certain war, the state distributed advertisements asking them to get home supplies that will help them survive for at least 37 hours, some news even pointed out the best route to evacuate.
37 hours is an interesting number. Do you know why they decided on 37?
@@TheProvidentPrepper it is the recommended minimum time, but according to the new guidelines, the advice is as follows 72 hours is the preparedness recommendation for households prepared by the authorities and organizations
For example, a prolonged power outage can cause a situation where services provided by society are disrupted or even interrupted.
If you live like the Amish then you don't have to worry about the power grid.

number 8, NO!
Monthly I buy canning lids at Wallyworld or Tractor Supply. I have hundreds.
it is worth getting a really comprehensive first aid kit at home, which also includes tourniquets for each member of the family,
you should practice first aid skills and even take a course if you don't have the skills. it's worth checking if there are any activities in the nearby area where you could practice and map out different skills, sometimes in extreme situations you may have to work in a field kitchen or a field hospital. youtube is a good place to study things, but it's good to practice them with a group and in the right situations, for example spending a week in a cabin without electricity or running water.
Thank you both for the excellent list, reminders and much appreciated encouragement 😊 🙏❤️

one thing you might have forgotten is diapers and urinary catheters, because if the ability to move becomes impaired in a sudden accident, for example, and first aid is not immediately available, diapers are good for absorbing various liquids, catheters can be installed in the bladder, because emptying the bladder is also important, sometimes its function can be disrupted in the event of an accident.
Yes sir, this is a solid recommendation! Pads and catheters, 👍🏻
Wow, never thought about cateters. Have no idea event to use them.
You are very wise to follow the promptings!
@@TheProvidentPrepper question for you: how would people deal with eating utensils if they had to stay sheltered in the basement for 30 days? If you use disposable, trash is piling up. If you use dishes and wash them how do you dispose of the waste water?

(Virginia coast)
It's good to make prepping a hobby.
Check out Tatler reusable canning lids.
Teach your neighbors how to garden, teach them skills that will help in emergencies. I have been making small penny stoves with grandkids and their friends. It is a small thing, but it gets them thinking “ what would I do in an emergency?”

In Switzerland we had metal roll down doors for all first floor doors and windows.

Of course, uncertain and challenging times lie ahead, but when have they ever been different?

In the end he absolutely loves the ones I bought for myself on Amazon (with a Halloween theme) they are super comfy and do the job as well. Buy one pricy sock and use it as a template for the cheaper socks. Socks should be washed after each wearing. Who can afford 4 to 7 pairs that need hand washing, when they have to be bought individually?
@@TheProvidentPrepper Thank you for sharing this information.
5 gallons of water per person per day is highly recommended.
How long can I store water in a 5 gal container?
Great question! I know the answer is always “it depends” - container, environmental conditions, substrate, etc. I keep water filters and purification tablets near the containers. Still - what’s a good rotation schedule? I’m figuring on 2 years for my containers, but have no facts to back that up. Glad you asked the Q.
I lost my husband several months ago suddenly and now I have new prepping concerns. How to manage certain things. I have always been independent but now I'm disabled and old. A new ball game 😢😮
May God give you the strength and the determination to move forward 🙏🏻, one small step at a time.
My sincere condolences. That is incredibly tough! May God bless you to be able to play this new ball game like a pro. You got this!
