- Very rare, neither this original opening text or ending text have been seen in any print in ages. All modern prints have English credits plastered on the end, and only the newer HD prints have tried to somewhat replicate this ending.
The original footage only had Cantonese dubbing, so I replaced it with Mandarin audio, so the sync wasn't perfect.

Now 43 and when I was about 15 my uncle purchased this for me on VHS in Mandarin with Subtitles. I recall him saying "Forget watching Enter The Dragon" as your first movie with Bruce Lee. I have never forgotten how I felt then and to this day have never gotten over his death. Before my time but like many, we worshipped him growing up and to lose Brandon too is something we will never forget.
This scene impacted me as a kid cos the good guy ALWAYS wins. Little did I know that this tale was to end a very different way. It utterly destroyed me as a young man and I was sobbing for hours.
One of the greatest finale scenes in cinema history. He was willing to go out like a boss and had NO regrets about the revenge he dealt out. 10/10

This film made Bruce Lee a Legend forever. It was a movie based on Superiority of the Japanese over the Chinese then Chen the Hero was the Champion for the oppressed against the oppressors. This changed the course of Asian Cinema to bridge the gap between the Japanese and Chinese 👏🏾 Rest in Peace Bruce

Agree. The Big Boss, which had been released approximately 7 months prior to Fist of Fury, was nowhere as stunning as this film.
Best soundtrack in Bruce movies it´s this one.
I saw this in 1974 at the age of 12. The ending was as powerful and shocking then anything I can remember on film. My older brother left the theater hyped waiting to fight.....I wanted to sneak back into the theater to watch the movie again.

Is that really Bruce Lee speaking Mandarin? I thought he only knew Cantonese aside from English.
I first saw this as a kid over 50 years ago. It is still one of my favorite movie endings ever.
@Milordvega As far as I know Lee never spoke any Mandarin. I'd love to know if he did his best or just spoke his lines in Cantonese.

When you look at the gunmen there, you can almost see like 4 mob organizations they hired to kill Chen Zhen. He must've been a dangerous man.

Unfortunately no. The original file had Cantonese audio, but since the film was released in Mandarin, I added that audio back in.

HELP! How to watch the original movie with chinese audio?
Where do you live? If you're in the US, there's several DVD/Blu-ray releases with original audio.
