I'm a luither of over fourty years and laminated necks like he made are bound to warp over a few years especially a plywood made neck. The string load tension and playing will bow the neck and it won't stay in!
Brilliant! recycling plywood. You're talking my language. I've made quite a few projects, using no longer needed shipping boxes form work before thy SKIP 😧them. Some big projects, some small. It did cross my mind "could i build a guitar with this stuff"? You have the answer.
Not a good way to go. The neck crossection will be half material with the grain perpendicular to the neck. This dramatically reduces the neck strength and stiffness.
Ibanez watching your video: "Write that down! WRITE THAT DOWN!"
😂
🤣

Only one way to find out!
Most of the plywood available today is full of voids, splits and patches. I'm glad to see the stuff you're using is half decent.
It’s pretty good, though you can find decent bits when cutting thin strips like this 👍
I love everything about this!
Thanks bud! 🙌
Love this project. I gotta get my Jurgs in gear!
Good man 👍

Yes you absolutely can!!!
Very cool project sir! I would be terrified of hitting a void in the plywood in the middle of my neck carve.
Find a void, fill it up! Also check if there are any obvious beforehand and avoid them!
I just about to say something similar. I would hate to carve a plywood neck.
@@bhartissimo we’ll find out soon enough!
Don't use the B&Q stuff. There is no maybe, you will find a void.
the ultimate multilam neck... awesome
I haven’t even counted how many laminates it has!
@@KingBespokeCreations job for later, but think of the bragging rights!

Yep, that's multi-lam ok 👍
😂
Recycling plywood? *Tim Sway tips his hat*

I fully expect that could be an issue, but I’ve still got to try it!
Cool, looking forward to seeing this carve. It's on my idiot-list too 🤣
We have an idiot list! 😂
