The drugstore is stepping up their game so what is luxury going to do to make it “worth it?” Someone needs to do a deep dive into *real* differences, since most luxury brands are owned by L’Oréal or Estée Lauder anyway. I love researching differences and try to research dupes by ingredients only, but haven’t really tried much new lately - trying to use up what I have and stop spending because it’s “on sale” like a maniac, thus having so much it stresses me out looking at it all, knowing I won’t use everything but can’t toss because it’s “new”. I use the Cerave cream as eye cream - petroleum up high, and it’s like the Bobbi Brown extra repair (not as thick) - curious the difference between the regular cream and eye cream, except the size. The ELF could replace my BB cream liner - I’m excited to try it.
Just had to pause the video 5 seconds in to say I'm loving your hair lately. Are you testing a new product behind the scene? It's always amazing, but the last couple of videos your hair in just wow! 🥰
Yes a part 2 please!!! I love all your content and how you present it💛💛💛 I was more afraid of delving into this whole beauty world, never knowing how to wear make up or what products were worth the money to have a skin care routine and your videos have changed everything for me, thank you thank you thank you Abbey😘😘😘💛💛💛
That Frenshe moisturizing stick immediately made me think of using it on elbows, knees & heels that tend to be a tad drier than other areas of the body. But hey, spreading it across your decolletage? You do you, girl!! Yes, part 2 please. I was hoping the elf eye shadows would be their sticks - the shade Magnetic Pull is the perfect greige! Super!!
Hi Abbey! I'm very milia-prone, especially around the eyes, and I've been told by derms that a key ingredient to avoid is petrolatum/mineral oil. If possible, a video on products for milia-prone people would be amazing!!
"Ube" is like a purple sweet potato or yam, it's a super popular food staple in the Philippines and other Asian countries. It's getting trendy in the west too which is why I think they named the lipgloss after it
IDK what CeraVe was thinking when they priced that cleansing balm. I'm sticking with Take the Day Off, which you can get for $7/ounce when you buy the 6.7oz tub at Ulta.
I use Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser to remove my makeup and then use Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. I have tried Take the Day Off but returned to Albolene. It has been around for a long time and you get 12 Oz for $9.74 at Walmart. 👍🏻
@@janicenewlin I've tried Albolene but find it impossible to fully remove without scrubbing with a cloth. The benefit of the Clinique balm (and others like it) is that it emulsifies with water and washes off very easily and gently.
After watching this video I went to target and bought the Frenshe serum stick in cashmere vanilla and OMG… this is amazing. You are so right, it was almost relaxing and soothing to apply and it smells incredible. I would’ve never even think to buy this but how you explained it made me try it. Thank you again Abbey!
I am absolutely loving the colour of your hair at the moment!! Seems a bit more warm ? More summery? Would love to have an update on what you getting done in the salon !!! Love your channel so so much xoxo
The NYX liquid shadows require experimentation, in my opinion. I use a Fluffy brush to blend the edges of the shadow and it’s absolutely lovely when I do it that way. It’s definitely subtle makeup, though.
Loved this laid back video. Also love all of your recommendations and I absolutely died when your voice went out #relatable and you still left it in the video 💕
I LOVE this type video from you!! I definitely would love a Part two!! I'm trying to save some coin, especially, in this economy. You're awesome, Abbey!! Take care. ❤️
Yes please, sorry about the drain on your wallet but would love you to have regular drug store updates! Btw I started using the Cerave healing ointment around my eyes last night, over the Beautie Pie triple hylaronic eye cream and my skin feels and looks SO good. After one night!! So thank you so much for that tip ❤ hope you’re doing well xo
I had exactly the same reaction when I saw the size of Cerave makeup balm remover- not worth the price- I love the Neutrogena one which is fragrance free unlike the ELF one
That peach slices cleanser texture looks amazing 😍😍😍 I actually picked up their azeliac acid serum today, can’t wait to try it out! And I’ve been in love with the NYX milk shake glosses. I have the mango Lassi and caramel shake versions, but I’ve been eyeing the choco one too.
Have you ever tried Beauty Pie? I just heard about it and am trying some skincare but they have makeup too. If you ever need someone to take swatched makeup off your hands Im right in Lincoln Park!
Heck yeah I’d love to see a part 2 of the drugstore stuff! I will never buy another CeraVe product again after looking at those ridiculously small and expensive products they came out with 😡 Especially with the economy, and how broke people are these days….they go and insult us by making products soooo small and charge over 10 bucks for those?? Twenty five + bucks for a tiny eye cream, made with inexpensive ingredients like petroleum, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide? Ummm….no.
I feel the same way about Cerave! Way overpriced. They think their brand is a luxury brand now. I almost passed out when I saw that minuscule cleansing balm for $14. My go to is Inkeylist. 5 oz for $10 last time I bought a few tubes earlier this year. Hope they don’t decide to price gouge.
Ik😩I hate it so much because I love their products! I use moisturizer cleanser and more from them but their prices have been getting so much higher! It might be because there increased the quality and know their line is good but good skincare shouldn't have to be expensive
I LOVE your drugstore videos, Abbey, so thanks for doing another one. ❤ I've been wanting to try the Peach Slices snail products but I love the CosRx snail products so much I haven't gotten there yet. That Peach Slices moisture cream looks amazing though, I think I'm going to get it. Thanks for the review!
I'm surprised you didn't like the nyx glow shots! I agree its a wet formula, but it feels light on my eyelids which is why I appreciate that. I like the sheen to it, its glowy without glitter.
Hey Abbey I'll have to try the elf putty eye shadow as liner! Can you please share the brush you used. It looks so much better than the ones that I have for making a wing.
Love drugstore newness! I just finished an older version of the NYX wonder stick with contour and highlight and it’s definitely a product that grows on you over time!
I think that the luxury brands have to understand that we don’t want to put perfume on our faces, most of the time there’s fragrance in their products. Per example, Dior came up with a great foundation but it’s so fragrant…..why.. why…? I would buy it even if it’s expensive but the fragrance keeps me away from it and most high end skin care and makeup..! Thanks for great videos! Merci!
Thank you for all you put into these videos. ❤️ I’ll be looking forward to part 2. I’d also love to hear your thoughts on the Hairitage Big-flex Bonding Pre-treatment if you ever get a chance. 😊
I’m surprised you’ve never heard of (or experienced) ube! Also glad to see that you talked about the Elf cream no budge eye shadow cause I picked one up and love it!
The cerave cleansing balm is definitely overpriced for drugstore. I use Farmacy's green clean cleansing balm and it's a 3.4 oz jar for $36. If you break it down the cervae is $10.77 per oz and Farmacy is $10.59 so it's actually cheaper for the "high end" product. This is why we need to be informed consumers and not automatically think drugstore is cheaper because the drugstore products these days just keep getting more expensive.
Great video - fun to watch as always. “Not that many great bronzers at the drugstore.” 😲 You gotta try: Revolution Beauty, Hard Candy, Wet n’ Wild. Just a few I use in rotation - they are awesome!
Yes...love these drugstore videos. Have you heard of the brand Moira ? They have some cream eyeshadow that I really want to try out. I think they are online only ?? I did purchase a powder and lipgloss from them that I really like. Have a great day !.
@@Joannabanana1989 hi! And no, I've never strayed from the DHC cleansing oil, it's just one of the products in my routine that never causes me any issues but I'm interested in trying the Neutrogena one in the future and have heard good things!
Love this video, Abby! I’m obsessed with drugstore products. I obviously watch too much RUclips and TikTok! Lol Wonder if you tried the shadow as a liner for lower lashes. Saw something on TikTok about using a cream shadow as eyeliner.
No, Crave is defiantly NOT cheap anymore! I was gonna try the new Cleansing Balm (thx for the warning!) I'll stick with Juno...better ingredients and more quantity for Less $
❤️Please do one of your Brand videos on Beauty Pie❣️ We’d love your opinion on all those cool products and fabulous company everyone is talking about❣️‼️❤️
Great idea using the eye shadow as liner. Brown is hard to find and I have been admiring your ‘wings’ in every video. How do there wear in this use? Smudge? Long lasting? Oops you answered that. I jumped the gun. Now I have to buy them. Colours in the ‘more’ box I’m sure. Still, great tip

I wanna try the ELF sand dune color now for my crease. I love cool tone colors for the crease because I have hooded eyes and the cool tones can make a "new" looking crease. Great video, just not for my wallet! Haha
Btw I 💜 how organized your drop down is and how easy it is to find the products are in the description.

IDK what CeraVe was thinking when they priced that cleansing balm. I'm sticking with Take the Day Off, which you can get for $7/ounce when you buy the 6.7oz tub at Ulta.
My thoughts EXACTLY. I had to check the link to see if she purchased a mini and was showing full size price. NOPE! That is crazy expensive!
Cerave is 100% capitalizing on the fact that its been gaining popularity and ppl will buy it regardless of price
For sure. I only buy the value size from CereVe because its the only way I can justify being it. But I might just go back to Cetaphil.
