    There is no such thing as an Agnostic Muslim, a requirement to be a muslim is believing in the Shahada. That by itself leaves no room for being an Agnostic Muslim.

    • @timcollett99

      Belief is irrelevant to knowledge. You could be an agnostic Muslim because if God doesn't exist then you don't know it to be true that God exists.

      @@timcollett99Muslim means one who submits his will to the only true God
      An agnostic wouldnt be able to be agnostic muslim since he would have to submit, except if he is submitting without believing in the Specific "God of Islam"
      Which is nonsense
      Anyway an agnostic is someone who thinks God may exist but he doesn't choose one God precisely
      So in order to be an agnostic Muslim, one would have to reject all the other religions beliefs to only accept the possibility of the "islamic God"
      That would be the most idiotic position to be in 😂
      Agnostic Muslim:
      "Oh ! I'm so smart ! If I had chosen the other religions to maybe accept the existence of God according to them I would have a chance to not be punished (idk like believing in Jesus dying for my sins and not being accountable for anything )
      But No!

    • @timcollett99
      @timcollett99 10 месяцев назад +1

      @GRIM-SS You're response is incoherent and doesn't remotely address my comment.
      An agnostic is someone who doesn't know whether or not there is a God. Agnostic comes from the ancient Greek 'gnosis' meaning knowledge.
      Belief and knowledge are not the same thing. Someone could deeply and sincerely believe the sky is yellow, but they could not be said to have knowledge that the sky is yellow because the sky is not actually yellow.
      In much the same way you could devoutly submit to to the will of a God you sincerely believe exists, but you could be mistaken. If God doesn't exist, then no matter how sincerely you believe, you have no knowledge of God's existence, and would therefore be an agnostic Muslim.

    • @GRIM-SS
      @GRIM-SS 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@timcollett99 there isn't only one level of belief
      One can believe something blindly or believe it because there is enough evidence to deduce it's plausibility
      You're saying that if the thing you believe in is wrong or not true then you become agnostic ?
      I don't understand why you say that 😅
      Why would it make you an agnostic ? You would still be a believer but not a believer of the truth
      Isn't agnostic someone who takes no position on whether it's true or not ? Or I have misunderstood this concept

    • @timcollett99
      @timcollett99 10 месяцев назад

      @GRIM-SS As I said, the term agnostic derives from the ancient Greek for knowledge. It doesn't pertain to having taken a position or to belief. Therefore, if you were a sincere believer in a God that didn't actually exist, that would mean you could not be said to have 'knowledge' of God's existence. 'A' = without/ 'gnostis' = knowledge
      This is why I personally find the term agnostic to be a rather useless one! What someone claims to know or not know is irrelevant to me. I care about what can be demonstrated to be true.

    And no, he is not using a fallacy........a reification fallacy. A reification fallacy is when you treat something that is abstract as if it is a concrete real event.
    I can explain further. When the atheist admits/believes that things happen by "chance", they are not trying to say "chance" is a real life event. Chance is a word we used to describe the predictability of real life events. Chance is not the event.
    When you flip a coin, there is a 50% chance it lands on heads and 50% chance it lands on tails. Chance is the predictability and/or possibility of whether the coin lands on heads or tails. Chance is not the event. The coin flip and the natural forces that are applied to the coin........gravity, friction, speed, spin, surface it lands on, etc. We cannot predict with 100% accuracy of the outcome of the coin flip, so it has a 50/50 chance of tails or heads. Chance didn't cause the flip. It's not the real world event.
    Therefore the atheist is not creating a reification fallacy. If you think the atheist means "chance" is the real life event or the cause of that real life event, then you are wrong.

    • @tdsdave

      Did you note the muslim also added in terms to reification , unpredictable and deterministic, these are no part of reification or the associated fallacy, he was making it up.
      You describe quite a lot of the waffle he makes pretty well. Yes he was wrong , the whole spiel is to bamboozle .
      It seemed really odd to argue god exists because of his assertions around the profound unlikelihood of us existing . Nothing about the probability of us existing says anything about the probability of a god existing, like your coin toss , saying god exists because heads came up and it was a 50/50 chance is fallacious.
      Came across this analogy, he's describing a huge jar full of coloured balls ( potential universes ), and saying god really really likes the colour purple , and when we pick the first ball , it's purple , there you go he says god exists . But then we pour out all the balls we find no other ball is purple , so this would really put a dent in the assumption god really really likes purple. He's saying all the other balls are not purple.

    SMille does not understand the fallacy of reification , its is indeed the taking of an abstract/concept/idea etc and confusing it with physical reality , a map is not the territory, the land it describes. Nothing about this relates to something being unpredictable or deterministic. He gets really weird on "chance" , again conflating nonsense , he's been the one defining his god into existence because of low chances as he sees them of fine tuning.

    • @lewis72
      @lewis72 10 месяцев назад +1

      An argument from ignorance and incredulity.
      Interesting that SMille uses the existence of some god to try and explain the seemingly near-impossible chances of arriving at the universe as we know it, yet has no explanation for the supposed existence of his god.
      The chances of the universe existing, as we know it, without some god can't be any less than the chances of a god that creates a universe as we know it existing.

    • @tdsdave

      @@lewis72
      Oh yes and the special pleading is always my favorite , ~"oh everything needs an explanation for it's existence, and its impossible that the universe could exist if it were not a god that created it, because anything else doing that would need an explanation."
      _"so what explains gods existence ?"_
      " what? Oh no god does not need an explanation for itself, only anything else you offer as a possible candidate explanation for the universe existing needs an explanation of itself"
      If you take a step back , the fine tuning argument is that there are vast set of values whereby life could not exist, yet god had the opportunity to set up everything. I heard an analogy recently , imagine a vast jar full of coloured balls , and we know god really loves the colour purple . We reach in and the ball we extract is purple , there you go we say, god exists. But then we empty the jar and all the other balls are not purple, reasoning about this we ask , so where is the evidence god likes purple, where is the evidence that a purple loving god filled the jar?

      Yeah the contingency argument leads back to a problem called necessitarianism, which is kind of like determinism on steroids. God becomes a kind of robot, its actions and behavior is all necessary , which leads to the universe being necessary , which leads to you and I being necessary . Nothing can be contingent.
      "A good comment..."
      Yeah the conversation starts out talking as if everything around us is contingent, that we are contingent , but how can you tell, the world would look the same if everything was necessary.
      "The more you poke and prod at Islam..."
      They are terrible at philosophy because for about a 1000 years its been discouraged , not seen as a reliable way to "truth". It's really frowned upon to use it to argue for the existence of Allah , which is why in these arguments they refuse to identify the necessary or the first cause as Allah, they will insist that its a creator or any other label, except Allah, they are arguing for. Obviously they cannot been seen to debate the existence of Allah, that would entail doubt , and doubt leads to hellfire.
      Much of their philosophy is just stolen and tweaked Christian arguments.
      The rest of the religion , it scripture, the scriptures content , and its historicity is riddled with falsehoods, inconsistency and plain nonsense. Morally it really is stuck in the gutter of the 7th century.

If you are condemned to hell, thru no fault of yours, because it has been written, bad luck to you. Never mind the HolyGhost in you, all the good works you do, Baptism you take, the Faith in Jesus you profess are all but in vain. No guarantee. Your Salvation is not automatic or guaranteed. Bold that. Underline that.
    It doesn't matter now whether you are Atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, Yudaism or Muslim. Its all written. Why bother..??? Just hope for the best that you are one of the chosen ones written to go to heaven. Quote this verse if any Christians fear mongering you about hell. Be Agnostic. Make sense right..???
    In Islam, however, Human and Jinn are being given FREEWILL to choose when the truth has been revealed to them. To choose which path to take. Left, Right or Centre.
    Allah, the All Knowing...who know about the Past, the Present and the Future knows which path you or any Human or Jinn will take. This is Qadr, one of the Article of Faith in Islam. So do not choose wrong.
    Very soon, Christian Preachers will be going around preaching Islam to their flock on FREEWILL instead of taking passages from the Bible.

      @Kenpachi_White707 your belief us not the issue...its your definition of sn atheist was what I was commenting on. You can't say " as sn atheist I don't say there is no creator " because that is EXACTLY the atheists position...that they believe there is no creator.
      Atheist- a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods.

      @@rosdykalat2620 yes, lacks belief. Meaning doesn't believe. I don't believe there's a God. But I don't claim to know there's no God. Do you get the difference?

      An atheist is someone who doesn't believe in a god, while an agnostic is someone who doesn't believe it's possible to know for sure that a god exist.
      Which one are you bro???

    Sahih al-Bukhari 3259
    Narrated Abu Sa`d:
    The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Delay the (Zuhr) Prayer till it gets cooler, for the severity of heat is from the increase in the heat of Hell (fire).

    Sahih Muslim 617 c
    Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
    The Fire said to the Lord: O Lord! some parts of mine have consumed the others, so allow me to exhale (in order to find some relief from this congestion). It was granted permission to take two exhalations, one exhalation during the winter and the other exhalation during the summer So whatever you perceive in the form of intense cold or hurting cold is from the exhalation of Hell. And whatever you perceive in the form of extreme heat or intense beat is from the exhalation of Hell.
    Sahih al-Bukhari 536, 537
    Narrated Abu Huraira:
    The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "In very hot weather delay the Zuhr prayer till it becomes (a bit) cooler because the severity of heat is from the raging of the Hell-fire. The Hell-fire of Hell complained to its Lord saying: O Lord! My parts are eating (destroying) one another. So Allah allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in the summer. The breath in the summer is at the time when you feel the severest heat and the breath in the winter is at the time when you feel the severest cold."
