Hey guys. Just like to say thank you very much for all your videos. I know it's a lot of work to put up stuff that we can see for free, but it really is a great help. Massive thanks
So I've been practicing these and slipping out backwards hasn't been a problem so far. My main issue is a mental one: I am afraid of leaning *too far* forward, catching my front edge and going flying. This keeps me from turning the full 90 degrees. Is this something that easily happens? Unfortunately I can't dull the edges since I use my board for a lot more than just jibbing.
Thijs Schipper Hey, just saw your comment. I had the same problem becaus exactly that happened to me at my first attempt. I was really afraid of boardsliding rails after that. What helped me where several things. I first got them done on boxes until I was confident in the technique, specially the counter rotation, it makes the slide really easy and stable. I also dulled my edges a bit which I only did because I have another all mountain board. maybe get yourself a rather cheap jib board, maybe from two three seasons ago. But the turning point was, that I placed the board on the rail with my hands and I tried several angels to see if my edge would still catch and it did not. I tried to really dig it in the rail and it just slipped away. but this is maybe because i dulled it. but knowing that break the mental barrier and got me rid of that fear i had. I hope I could help

Can i ask what brand jacket is? I really like it :D
Do you dull your edges for rails and boxes?
And what do you call when you spin a 180 frontside or backside while sliding on the rail/box? Not 180 out.
my BIGGEST problem is not getting a full 90 degrees i’m always at like a 70 degrees for any tips?
Rotate another 20 degrees
@@johndavison4185 great tip
Just commit it ain’t that scary unless it’s on a down rail

+Snowboard Addiction I know😂 nothing against you at all. It just gets me all antsy for winter
i do skate boarding and i do board slides all the time do you think snowboarding is easier
It kind of depends, you can jump off on a skateboard but you’re going down if you mess up on a snowboard 😂
Yes but only if you already have an intermediate level of snowboarding
That boardslide looks just like a skateboarding boardslide
WHERE ARE YOU WINTER???? WINTER COME HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUIIIIIIICKLY! WINTER IS COMMINIG???
