Ok, this really excites me. Not this particular release as 1270 didn’t vibe with me, but it gives me hope Frapin will release an intense version of L’Humaniste, which I adore, but suffers from the same performance issues for me.

I have always loved Frapin 1270, but didn't purchase a bottle because I already wore Ginestet Botrytis, which I felt has similar notes. I just ordered a sample of the Extreme to try. Botrytis has been discontinued for awhile, so perhaps I'll buy a bottle of the Extreme if I end up loving it!

I was a bit underwhelmed by the original 1270, but the way you described the Extreme version really peaked my interest ! Gonna look for a sample, thanks Steven !
See, I would LOVE to get my nose on fragrances like this. BUT(I know, life is hard sometimes), I simply can't afford niche😔. I do have Aventus, but it was a gift. This sounds exactly like a Scent that I would like.

I have them both but i dont experience the same performance as you with 1270 extreme. Have you tried joop homme eau de parfum? i find it quite simulair only the frapin better quality ofcourse. I also dont find this too be close too the original. Too me it smells like they added IF and a little bit of mateu 5

I'm so mad! I bought 1270 a couple of weeks ago despite the longevity/projection issues simply because I thought it was one of the most amazing smells ever. Wish I knew this flanker was coming! I might have to sell the original then and get this, lol. Thanks for the review Steve!

Hey Steven. I ordered 1270 Extreme and what I received smells nothing at all like the original 1270. It smells good but it’s a lighter fresher fragrance that’s 100% different. Is it possible that they put the wrong fragrance in the extreme version bottle that was sent to me?

Best release....NO WAYYYY. just sampled it and OG is better in smell and a few new notes pop out more but the original still smells better to me. And longevity is not much longer neither and so not worth buying.

The new business model is to create a great fragrance, then water it down and destroy it with reformulations, then release an extreme, intense, elixir version of the what is essentially where the whole process started. This industry is twisted. I wish I could stop, but sadly I’m too far gone.
