I love you the new setup you have there! Nice lighting
Thank you. Been playing a bit recently.
That's a great progression! Surely love the new b-roll sequence better. By the way, you do so much work on the house in every video that sometimes it makes me feel lazy for only working on a computer lol.
I think video editing is your own signature. Every one is different. You have your own way and it works. Love all your content, Bro. Blessings to You and Yours!
I think it's a phase we all have to go through if you want to progress. Nothing wrong with thinking that the videos we created at that time were "Peter McKinnon" like, it showed the desire to be creative and an enthusiasm in sharing what we thought at the time was an awesome video trying out new techniques. This youtube/videography/photography is one long continual journey and every day is a school day! Without looking back, you'll never know how far you've come along on this journey. Keep up the good work!
Loved this video!!!
I just bought a M50 and I'm so glad I found your channel!! Greatly appreciate your content 🙏 subscribed 😃
Looks great
Thanks!
Your content is so good, I watched through all the ads without skipping. :) :) :)
Thanks. Though I’m told they’re in bad places.
Great commentary on how to save bad b-roll and love the new b-roll clips except you killed the video by placing an ad in the middle..extremely distracting. QUESTION how do i change the color in my video clips..I'm currently getting a pink tinge on them and don't remember changing the settings?
I didn’t place them manually I guess I’ll have to change that
@@TheCrowleyCrew Yes best to place them after finishing a sentence or between topics so you don't interrupt the flow of the video. July 27 you'll be able to add mid-roll ads to 8 minutes videos
I like this video. it makes me want to revisit some of my older videos and do the same thing. Also...Love the tie, very professional. 😂
😂🤵 I should have made this a challenge video.
Yeah, Job always edits in a business attire.
man even your "bad" b-rolls are super damn good! hehehe
😂
2nd edit flowed better. We're always learning and continuing to grow. Looking dapper too!!!
OK, where is that accent from? It's like a mix of French and British with some American mixed in.
Agree about the diection of the arrow, its not until you said it that I thought about it, its the flow.
wow nice house
It was.
Great video man! Sometimes I look back at my first videos and I'm like "oh... Okay Geremy.... Sure...."
We all start somewhere 😄
Hey job! So I ordered my m50 last week and got it in yesterday so of course I binge watched every video in your masterclass over the weekend annnnnd that lead me to also order the adapter for my nifty fifty that you use as well. PERFECTION!!!! Thanks for all you do bro and feel free to follow me as well, I’ll be doing some M50 footage mixed with my mavic pro!!
I love your videos. Thank you. I made the jump from iPhone to m50 mostly because of your videos. I’m one year into RUclips and doing a look back at my beginnings too. Couple of thoughts, if your first videos aren’t embarrassing you launched too late, perfect is the enemy of done, and I see nothing wrong with revisiting early videos with new skills and making them better, unless you’re George Lucas and then you should just quit while you’re ahead. I outsource my editing as that was a roadblock for me starting. Best thing I did. Now I’m learning editing, like you said, to gain an idea of what good source material looks like and how it goes together, what my editor will need to make the video I have imagined. As a filmmaker, I think you need to know all the specialties, even if you are not going to practice them yourself. As to Peter, I started because of his style (the look of his videos, not the jumping around on skateboards, at my age that’d be dangerous ) and I think it’s great to be inspired and learn from other filmmakers, just remember the world needs you to be you too. I for one like what you do.
Editing is difficult but you have keep pushing. It can make the difference. Love the shirt and tie...make you look like an executive.
Stairmaster!
😂
It was edited 10 times better than my first video.
Haha i just go back to this channel every now and then to check on your community! You are not at 11! Ive been here since 200!
You are the 🤴
I liked some of the fast cuts and the effects of you jumping over the camera in the first edit. You nailed it on the head though. You just don’t have any story in your B-Roll. Also this video was a little weird because I was unsure what was happening in the beginning and you didn’t explain until the middle of the video what you were actually doing.
Great job. your m50 videos have been a great help. Any tips on how to film better shots for construction work? I film alot of my job sites and since watching youre videos. Realised i could make some epic videos of me spraying. Any advice on tips or shots to film. Sequence maybe im struggling to understand. Ive got more into broll and ive come along way in 4 months
You watching the new R5 and R6 release videos? ohhhh the footage looks good! To much money for me!
I haven’t yet
@@TheCrowleyCrew dont watch it unless you can afford to buy one of them...the footage is that good! And definatly dont watch Peter Mckinnons review...he makes the footage look like it was shot on an Alexa!
do you use a noise reduction plug in? i mean for the video sections in studio not audio noise reduction ;) i have the same settings and my image has so much noise ;(
I never use noise reduction. Not sure why it would be noisy.
Hey man! I'm using the 15-45mm kit lens but the aperture won't go below 4.6 on the camera. Shouldn't it go as low as the lens says it can?
if you are not zooming you should be abel to set it to 3.5 with the kit lense.
My two cents: Your re-edit is cool, I just think it would have been better if you were introduced earlier in the clip. The way it looked, BJ was the only subject of your video, so when you show up a while later, it looks jarring. Also, there's a shot of you shooting the pond, but no footage of that pond. Would have been better if it was a shot of you filming the bridge, which was your main location. But other than those things, definitely much improved over the previous version. Keep up the great work!
first!
👊🔥
@@TheCrowleyCrew im going to buy the canon m50 after watching your videos xD. I've seen what i can achive with it and also the price is really good. Soon, Magic lantern is gonna be released for this camera.
That’s great, I added some b-roll footage with a Rubik’s Cube to my latest RUclips video it was fun to do! What software do you use to edit with Iam finding iMovie a little restrictive now
You should try upgrading to final cut man I went from iMovie to final cut and it’s essentially the same interface so very easy to get used to but with loads of great extras! I’m currently using premier and that has been a huge challenge to go from one to the other! Only problem is the price but if it’s what you love to do then it’s worth every penny! Good luck!
The Original Dave thanks I tried the trial of Premier and got all excited but my Mac couldn’t handle it as it’s a bit old so it was very laggy which was such a shame so looks like I need both a hardware and software upgrade
keep the videos!! thanks to you I have learned so much and it inspired me to pick up a Canon M50 and make my footage better due to your teachings thank you. If you love to collect action figures come check out my channel i do reviews and unboxings. Thank you again Crowley Crew keep up the videos.
