Top Gun: Maverick, a rare film that achieved success in both its original version and its remake, brought the fame of many actors to new heights. Although it is rated high in the 2022 remake, Top Gun: Maverick is still considered flawed without the appearance of Meg Ryan, who plays Carole Bradshaw. It is known that there were sad stories going on between Meg and this movie, she even decided to quit Hollywood not long after. What happened? Let's find out.
Last one, I promise. Kelly McGillis’ character, Charlie, has been written off completely, not even present in the flashback scenes of Top Gun Maverick. It’s like she never existed. We know Kelly McGillis has aged and her looks aren’t the bombshell ones Hollywood was quick to promote in Top Gun. She was the female lead and played an important role in Mav’s recovery from losing Goose. Fast forward so many years and Hollywood again plays the female ageism card so they don’t have to present Kelly on-screen. What a shame that Hollywood discredits the value and worth of someone who gave so much and most likely would have been a great part of the story line lending her wisdom, pathos, compassion to Maverick once again. Ah well…Hollywood is a mess these days and I won’t be going to see this one in the theaters.
Meg Ryan has garnered a lot of flack in the past few years because of her opting for plastic surgery to meet Hollywood pressure to stay “forever young”. Some manage to come out looking pretty good while others seem to have found the dregs for surgeons. I wish Hollywood will get its priorities straight in the humanity sector and back off from treating their artists like disposable commodities. Cudos to those artists who have stood defiant and opted to allow the natural element of time to give its own beauty to those we have come to love and appreciate over the passing years.
She was a gorgeous, talented actress…then came the plastic surgery that left her face a mess, like so many other female celebs. I hope she is able to find a truly gifted doctor who can undo/fix what former ones botched so badly.
Time will tell, I have ordered one for myself !???

So do I…..I turned it off. The mispronunciation is atrocious.
Wow! The producers of this video were so anxious to get this video online they completely ignored the pitiful ai robo-speech. Just another video factory trying to make money on youtube instead of turning out a well made professional video.
As for this video…I give it a thumbs down. Terrible monologue execution along with a rambling hodgepodge of less than noteworthy facts that fans already know. It never does tell the real reason Ryan’s character was cut out; just a lame character insertion to generate a love interest for Cruise and no information on Kelly McGillis who’s character is seen in some of the old video clips.
Listening to this is exceedingly frustrating, as the robot narrative lacks proper English
