It is a myth large intercooler piping causes slow spool. It can cause slow response between shifts. I have literally found even on a turbo like a G30-900 going from a 2 inch hot side to a 2 1/2 inch hot side net me 300 RPM better. Spool. It is all relevant to your turbo size. The camshaft can cause lazy spool. That part is definitely true.
Awesome vid fella! I have the 6870 Gen 2 and it’s close to perfect as a street turbo no doubt, the next gen must be epic. That being said I’m about to go 7275 next gen and can’t wait, these next gen’s are no joke ❤
Looking forward to your test results, just wondering that if you were hitting a backpressure limit on a 75mm turbine then the 70mm turbine will max out even earlier. The NextGen stuff keeps the "Gen 2" turbine wheel - so the data will be interesting. Next Gen 6875 or Next Gen 7175 would be interesting candidates too.
Great setup. I’m old school with an old Greddy T88H turbo kit. I am actually considering this 6870 next gen but the 1.0 back housing was my thinking. Any reason why you didn’t consider the 1.0?
I pulled the trigger for the same turbo. The manifold is next. The first thing I noticed was the massive weight reduction. The stainless housing like a feather.
7275 next gen is your turbo, spools essentially like the 6870 but pulls up top like the 7675. I was fighting this conundrum for like 6 months glad I finally chose 7275 next gen. 3.2 windberg crank, aluminum rod stroker, gsc s2 cams.
New camera is soo much better
Appreciate the feedback brother!

New camera, new turbo....win win
Excellent video brother! Which camera is that again, thanks brother. Also about to put this turbo on my bmw m340i (Gen 2 B58), can't wait
Love the video. Bro, do you still use the lifetime oil filter still ? It sounds like you went back to the oem 1

I'm sure only reason is just to have less lag.. which is most reason... amd he's not too worry and peak hp

thats what i just did i bought new driver side window switches since it wouldnt roll up my passanger window from driver side.
What size is your garage?
what size are those wastgate lines?
At what rpm does your car idle? Once the engine is warm?
950
@@PureFunction is that with the stock cams? Thank you.
Try the window switch first. That was my problem.
You might need a bigger turbine housing
Is it a 3.0 or a 3.4l?
3.0 I wanted to keep it simple
@@PureFunction Imagine how responsive it would be as a stroker! O.O
