If the singer Nancy Wilson lived there, It is bound to be wonderful. She was was one of the greatest singers to ever live. Is a true American musical legend. I loved her as a little boy and Nancy just had a God-given style style for jazz blues blues pop R and B, And she was beautiful. RIP Nancy we love you and we'll always love you.😪🎙🎤💿📀💽🎷👑
Just stayed in Pioneertown for two nights before taking 2N02 towards Big Bear for off grid camping...it was tons of fun. Had no idea the place existed let alone what a musical landmark it is. Ended our first night around chatting with new friends around our campfire and philosophizing til 4am. Truly a gem of California.
I drive by here all the time on HWY. 62, but I've never stopped in to see... Now after seeing this video, I'm gonna have to for sure stop in and check it out!
Great that it's still standing and hasn't been replaced with a shopping centre or high rise, nice to know some of the old west movie sets are preserved, Russell Hayden was one of the founders and I believe his 'Hayden Ranch' is nearby, which was also used for some film and TV series such as 'Judge Roy Bean'!
Now tell me this...with all the lizards, snakes, jack rabbits, hawks, armadillos, dry weather, lack of things to do and places to see...WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU MOVE HERE??
I remember hundreds of trips to "pie town" mom dated Ron Young (R.I.P).. who owned the pioneer town bowling alley and lived in the old movie house down the road. Roy Rogers. Was an old OK corral cross from his house
late 70s i lived in palm springs and rode my harley to pie town many times. it was almost abandoned then. the cantina bar was the only reason to go there. one woman had bunch of dogs. now its a yuppie puppie hangout. its a tourist trap shithole now.................................................. RIP pie town
Thank you. I live in California and had never heard of Pioneertown.

Loved the town, so much of my early years were seeing this town on so many of my favorite westerns.
Went there yesterday from San Diego. Felt like we were in the Old West. Highly recommend. Went to Joshua Tree National Park after. Great day trip.
Agree! It is a great day trip combining both. Glad to hear you enjoyed it as much as I did
