Love the project that truck was one of my favorites when I was a kid but mine had the rubber tires. Projects like this are very inspiring thank you for putting this out there.
The way you pick out all the details really make that truck pop! Can’t wait to see more results as you use that new paint - it makes it even more tempting to start airbrushing.
The truck looks great! I had a couple of them as a kids also. You should do one up like the truck from the old T.V show The Fallguy! Keep up the great work.
Came out perfect! Hot Wheels should have made it red to begin with. It made the decal really pop. The details you did was just the icing on the cake. I'm tempted to do something similar to my plow. I remember that it came off like 3 days after I bought it and it pissed me off so much that the truck has hardly ever been out of the case since.
I have this exact truck, in near mint condition... But now, after all these years, I'm thinking about customizing it. It would be fun to see a customizer challenger with the theme "Ford vs Chevy".
Again you must be in my eBay account or monitor when I buy things off eBay but once again you do a video on something I just got LOL it just proves that we both have good taste
The originals are cool as hell, you took one and kicked it up a couple notches my friend. It looks awesome in the red, the tires fitted perfectly. You have me wanting to try to do the one I have from when I was a kid. Great job my friend.
Best advice is to jump in. Start small with wheels swaps.and practice drilling and tapping, then work into details and painting. But just what you need to start and just do it. I thought about it way too much before I started and I regret the time lost
Nice truck! I just bought a '77 Chevy K10 this year. Hope mine will turn out as good as this one ;-) Btw: Can someone please tell me the name of the song at the end of the video?
Hey Keith, I was wondering what paint you use when you paint your customs and when you detail them with rust and stuff, I know you’ve said it a few times in other videos but I forget things easily lol. I was also wondering what drill bits you use because I want to get into customization but don’t know of anything to get, if you could help me out that’d be great!
Paint is all over from createx to splash. Detailng is citadel as well as the weathering. I started using Vallejo as well for rust effects. Drill bits is 1/16" and a 2-56 tap. 3/16 to take the post head off
Ohh wow, the end result on this one was just fantastic!, the red really makes it Pop and I am pretty sure we all had this casting. Great Job!

Great outcome! Love the details!
I love this! I love squarebodies!
Such basic materials can transform what you started with to the finished product which looks terrific indeed!!!
Very nice custom. The emojis on the toplights! genius! You brought it back to a new toylife. Well done.
The way you pick out all the details really make that truck pop! Can’t wait to see more results as you use that new paint - it makes it even more tempting to start airbrushing.
Yeah, so far so good. The 69 chevelle I sampled on was nice too
Beautiful looking truck, especially like the smiley faces on the KC lights. Can't wait until the next one.
Turned out awesome looks fresh out of the package 👍👍😊
That rich red was a good choice. Juicy, shiny, ready for some 4x4 action. And, yeah, it makes the decals pop
This turned out really well. The wheels were worth the effort.
Being an owner of a red square body, is by far one of my favorite builds of yours, besides the nightmare C10
Brilliant job Keith, the red truly does make the decals pop! I had a blue version as a kid too so it was awesome to see this one get restomodded.

Btw: Can someone please tell me the name of the song at the end of the video?
Great job. Love the truck. Hey Keith, where did you get all those Wheels? I look for it and I couldn't find it.
Treads diecast on Facebook
Is there a reason you choose Citadel over, say, Vallejo, Army Painter, or Scale75?
No. I just like them and its water based.
Great job. I have couple those trucks. I take that truck. Do u sell any of Ur custom.
What exact citadel tan was used?? Please :) I have probably 2-3 of these trucks too
The tan was actually screaming skull which is more beige
How much did you pay for the wheels? I'm thinking about doing some customs. Your one of the best.
They average 4 bucks unless I steal them from a real rider car then more

I would like to know would you be Interested in working on a ford bronko and send it back I really love what you do with the trucks
