    the video doing "pros and cons of Antigua" rarely mention the mosquitos. It's good you pointed out the mosquito prob.

      @Gofko and Yasmin Oh Ok there's a few. Bearfoot Antigua surfing and Windsurfing. And up at the eastern part of the island at Half moon bay , Nunsuch bay hotel. I Don't like those beaches up there 😒 they're Beautiful But very Rough and windy.

    Hi there! Will be visiting antigua soon. Is Zika still a concern In Antigua/caribbean?

    • @GofkoandYasmin

      we personally didn't hear anything about Zika while being in Antigua... I just checked online and official information is saying that there is a risk of Zika but that serious complications are not common. I guess you need to avoid getting bitten by mosquitoes so make sure you have repellents that work for you! I was personally getting bitten (a lot) regardless of what kind of repellent I was using... 😖

    Also you don’t need a car because there is lots of taxi and buses. So a place you would need a car for would be a larger island with poor public transport and taxis. Don’t be put off people this is poor and subjective advice.

    • @richardhart9204
      @richardhart9204 4 месяца назад

      No, you’re better off renting a car before you arrive (much cheaper) simply for the convenience, and because taxis and minibuses have become extremely expensive.

      @@richardhart9204 No, you missed my point. Any one who can drive would be better off driving. And that’s for most countries and places is it not!
      However a high percentage of people and travellers are unable to drive and don’t have a licence and Antigua is very much a easy to get around island without a rental car. It does not lack taxis or buses and any one reading this don’t be put of by this narrow minded view ☺️
