Furniture Makeover Using Mint by Michelle Decoupage Papers 🌷🌹Let's repaint my old Jewelry Armoire

- Today I am using Mint by Michelle Decoupage Papers to give this Jewelry armoire an updated Furniture Makeover. I'll be using Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint in the color Cavier and adding Posh Chalk Precious Patina in the color royal gold to enhance the ornate details. I chose This color because it matches the dark and moody theme. Let me know what you think about this makeover down in the comments!

I liked it in purple, but i love the black with the "old gold." It's positively stunning!

I like it both ways. This one is more subtle. I happen to love purple so the 1st makeover was great in my opinion. I loved the over the top in your face look, but this one is also very beautiful. Different, but beautiful.
I absolutely love the makeover. I've been hesitant about trying the decoupage paper because I only hear how difficult it is to work with. After watching this video, I am ready to give it a try. I'll start with a smaller piece to get the practice. Thank you for the inspiration!

Amy this is just beautiful! So vibey and a definite upgrade (though I liked the original too!) The black with those flowers is stunning 😍 Side note, I had to chuckle, I also use my mouth as a 3rd hand for brush storage sometimes! Lol
I liked the purple one but the gold was too bright!!! Took away from the flowers, I think. I Love what you transformed it into. Subtle with toned down gold and now can see the beautiful flowers!!!! 🖤🌸💫🌺🖤

I loved it before but this is gorgeous altogether. Does the varnish drip around the drawers when sprayed on? Thinking of buying a sprayer but never used one before. Moving house soon and will be buying second hand furniture to do up. Living in rural Ireland so don't think will find anything like that! People don't seem to leave things on kerb for others to take. Will have to search the charity shops. Might be lucky. Thanks for tutorial.

I think that the method you use to apply decoupage paper is something I'd never do. I would apply the adherence substance a section at a time, i.e., a drawer at a time. The way you're applying the decoupage paper guarantees that bubbles and wrinkles will occur.

I just started picking up furniture to try to flip & resell ! I’m a SAHM and need a way to make money lol. But I bought some paint + primer & its “interior 100% acrylic enamel” are those okay to use on furniture? Or do you know if they’ll chip easily or yellow ?
What product did you use for the decoupage paper to adhere to the jewelry stand? Was it varathane and was it a flat sheen? I tried decoupage for the first time and used something different. Not easy. Your piece is stunning and you make it look effortless.
I used Varathanes water based polyurethane in satin. I agree it’s not easy at first but after a few projects it gets easier🙂
