Great lens. Got mine yesterday. Only thing is I noticed the inside elements of the lens moves back and forth when you tilt the lens but you attached it to the camera and turn it on, it disappears. Is this normal? I don’t have any of that on my other gm lens.
The 135mm 1.8 does not support teleconverters because in order to support that on a telephoto lense the last part needs to be extended making it slightly bigger and heavier. It's considered vital for the longer tele lenses and the added size/weight is not that significant any more there in comparison but it does make a decent difference for lenses like these. The same is true why the 85mm does not support it. Canon also made that choice on a zoom lense not just their primes with the RF 70-200 F2.8, it's part of the reason they could make it that small and lightweight (obviously other aspects such as zooming out externally also played a role here). So you are not going to get that even though I agree that it would be a tempting option.

And some features of a7siii like 4.2.2 10bit all intra will have to purchase the crazy expensive cards a big no no for a hobbiest like me. I hope the a7iv offers 10bit at a lower bitrate which can write to normal sdxc would be enough for me. Just 100mpbs on the a7iii when competition is clearly giving 400+Mbps like fuji and canon is unacceptable.

I don't get why people are complaining about the high price of them. You are clearly paying for substantially higher quality materials that translate into sharpness and clarity. It is also clearly targeted at professionals that make a living with those lenses. If you can't afford it, don't complain.

Hi Sony, here are some wishes from me, a 1.4x tele extender for the Sony 135mm 1.8 GM (I had a Canon 7D with 135mm 2.0 an 1.4x) a 1.4x for the Sony 135mm 1.8 GM would also be very fine for fx 85mm, 70-200mm and other short tele Lenses, 135mm with 1.4x will be 190mm on fullframe and 280mm 2.5 on APSC !!!. I also wish for Macro GM Lenses and prime tele Lenses, fx 300mm 4.0 (4.5), 400mm 4.5 (5.6) and 500mm 5.6. Next version of Sony A7RIV should have 9.5 megapixel with 1.2 magnification EVF and better IBIS, thank you very much Sony. I have now Sony A7RIII, Sony A7RIV, Sony 24mm 1.4 GM, Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8, Sony 135mm 1.8 GM and Sony 200-600 5.6-6.3 G.

I wish for Sony GM macro lenses and compact tele prime lenses, also 1.4x GM teleconverter (maybe 2.0x) for Sony 135mm 1.8 GM, thank you very much :)
The 135mm 1.8 does not support teleconverters because in order to support that on a telephoto lense the last part needs to be extended making it slightly bigger and heavier. It's considered vital for the longer tele lenses and the added size/weight is not that significant any more there in comparison but it does make a decent difference for lenses like these. The same is true why the 85mm does not support it. Canon also made that choice on a zoom lense not just their primes with the RF 70-200 F2.8, it's part of the reason they could make it that small and lightweight (obviously other aspects such as zooming out externally also played a role here). So you are not going to get that even though I agree that it would be a tempting option.
The only thing that's troublesome about this is the filter on the front. Any chance you guys can make a 15 mm 1.8 or 16 mm GM?
