  • This is our review of the Saturn FIK365 Inflatable Fishing Kayak from boatstogo.com. Sadly it's not a very positive review. Boatstogo.com wanted me to take the video down, in order to receive my full refund. However I decided to keep it, and repost my review so I could continue with my full review and fixes for the problems that I'm having. Stay tuned and I will show you how I fixed the problems. To possibly help people who have already purchased this kayak from this manufacturer (www.boatstogo.com)

I can tell you are new to inflatables with your petty gripes. I own this kayak, beat it up for 4 years of abuse on rivers with scraping bottom in the shallows and hitting gravel..scuffs and no scratches. It's build quality is excellent. No $400 kayak comes with a decent paddle. Spend a $100 and get one that will last many years. My favorite brand is Canon. I have 3 inflatable kayaks and 3 paddle boards and have never used the bags they come with. Get a XL size roller bag if needed, but I don't use them. Next time get it on the water for a review.

This video increased my respect for the BoatstoGo vendor. They stood behind their product and offered a full refund with free return shipping. Your issues with the bag and pump are extremely typical of inflatable watercraft cheaper than $1,000 and most of the rest of the video was nitpicking and your personal preferences not being met. Credit to you for noting the positives of the kayak, doing a detailed review, and stating the price you purchased for. I think your video is helpful

Boats to go didn't back their product or offer me any type of refund or shipping back to them until I threatened to contact a lawyer. So no they didn't back their product, and they are a horrible company. I do not recommend them.

I really do not know exactly what you are trying to get at with this kayak. I will tell you that you will not find a build quality better than this kayak, at the price you paid and advertised. I think the old saying is you get what you pay for and the quality of the stitch and fabric is top notch. As Gloppy 101 stated earlier, what do you expect for a kayak at this price. I am going to be honest and I do not see the little gripes and complaints you have, as being a game changer to me. Boats to go offered a refund and paid shipping as you stated, but you decide to keep it still with your little gripes. Boats to go is very very reputable with many people and have been for years with their inflatables.

I got the FPK365 pedal drive kayak, which is of similar design. I agree that it's a bit annoying for sand/rocks to get trapped in between the drop stitched floor and outer hulls. Given how shallow this kayak is, I don't think there's a need for the self-bailing feature. That said, it's not a big deal at all. I would put this in the "little gripe" category but I also appreciate the OP's video sharing a different opinion/experience.

It's a slightly larger gripe with respect to Quagga mussel inspections. I left my boat out to dry for 6 days. After my inspection, jolted the boat and a drop of water came from somewhere. On either side, there is only one small self-bailing hole in the center. This can cause water to get trapped deep inside the boat toward the ends. Quagga inspection can be pretty strict. Some of us will have to spend extra time cleaning and drying the space between the floor and outer hulls. I might add a few more holes drain holes to help it dry faster.

I own a hobie itrek 11 and will be receiving a kaboat from boatstogo tomorrow. At the end of the day, if it is drop stitch decently thick material it will do the job. The fact that those mounts look to be railblaza like and factory mounted make them even better. Look at anything comparatively priced, it doesn't compare this will beat it.

Seems like you should get a hard body kayak stick with old town Jackson or native it's like buying a Ford focus and crying because it's not as nice as a Bentley.

Thought about this one, but chose the Upwell 10.5' 2 seater. Could not be more pleased. Holds 650lbs, and I put that to the test trip 1. Loaded it with a white boat cooler, and 40qt cooler both LOADED. 2 bags filled with all camping gears. 2 life jackets. 2 poles and all tackle. Then me @240lbs and my boy @160lbs. Not a single issue. Had an awesome weekend down river and got us back even easier. Best 400 bucks I've spent in a while.

Good luck with that what I received was completely trash quality. How did you pump it up? The pump was unusable from day one....

@hookinainteasy117 pump worked great, minus the gauge. Gauge says "reads after 5 psi". Which is wild to me since the tubes need only 2psi ! Hahaha. So I bought a gauge to use instead of included. Amd the bag they included was trash too. Everything else has been great...so far 😅

Upwell is a no name Amazon cheapie. Don't expect much from it and certainly not from the PO Box company with no phone or address. Note that the Upwell cut corners with the fabric D-rings and nylon covering and those will quickly wear, especially in salt water. One can tell it's entry level quality with weighing 25 lbs and that's due to cheap materials.

@gloppy101 it actually had zero of those problems, held 100lbs over capacity, was insanely durable and very well made all over. With exception of one Boston valve. And they do infact have contact info and decent customer service. Sent me a replacement boat with no problem.

Well I bought a 16 ft heavy duty Saturn boat with aluminum floor amd for 2000 wjat I paid plus taxes shipping 200 dollars I didn’t get a pump woth it so they do not check the boat before shipping that is a fact mine didn’t look new scuff all over it when I air it up didn’t look like a new boat and there heavy duty fishing boat do have all that protection tho fsct but for me when you say a heavy duty Saturn boat it should be the same as the fishing boats they sell to it does look nice woth big tubes tho I bleave they grab the boats off the shelves amd sell them but what you paid for yours really you shouldn’t complain tho it’s a cheap one fsct you buy cheap you get cheap fact tho when I pay over 2300 tho I do expect the boat to come wrap in plastic well amd inside the box the box was pretty well wrap tho the bags that you put the bait back in do not like that tho but will see when I take it out amd see the sd488 Saturn heavy duty boat if it’s what they advertise if not I’ll go after the bris on Amazon it’s 2100 dener amd double layered on the bottom amd side at the same cost I paid for Saturn from boats to go wil see

I'm not removing anything. The product I received was not high quality or heavy duty as advertised. The accessories were all unusable, they could literally not send the accessories and make the actual boat cheaper. The company themselves are horrible, I could not even get a reply back until I brought up I would contact an attorney. Then I magically got a message back instantly. I've also been harassed by the company leaving youtube comments on my videos, which they only removed because I called them out. I will continue to post videos /reviews on this product, in hopes I can save someone the issues I went through.

@@hookinainteasy dude, give it up. You bashing of a high quality inflatable with an excellent reputation is making you look stupid. You contacting an attorney is laughable.

@@gloppy101 crazy that I bought 200 dollar inflatable kayak that has no issues and is so much better than the Saturn FIK365. The price has nothing to do with it. The Saturn is a massive peice of junk. But you do you, go waste your money. I was contacting a lawyer because at first they refused to respond to me at all. Threatened a lawyer and magically they started responding. That's the tall tale sign of a shady company.
