- This year, I moved to the coast of Northern California! While I’m still working on achieving my goal of spotting a whale from inside my home, I do, however, have direct access to some of the world’s most beautiful landscapes and the incredible wildlife that inhabits them via the Pacific Coast Highway. I took a short drive down to Pescadero in search of coastal birds to do some good ‘ol wildlife photography. Here’s what I saw...

Birds in order of first appearance: brown pelican, black oystercatcher, black turnstone, whimbrel, western gull, Caspian tern, killdeer, common merganser, great blue heron, least sandpiper, western sandpiper, belted kingfisher, osprey, great egret, green heron, turkey vulture
Glad to see a birding/wildlife video from someone in my general region of the world. Good stuff.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I've lived in the bay area for decades and didn't know about this place. I've been looking for places to take photos of birds. This seems like a very very nice place.
What a nice surprise to see a new video from you Ryan, thank you. Loved the narrative with the Egrets and Terns, drama indeed!
Thanks! More to come 🙂
Very nice! Very enjoyable.
Glad you enjoyed it!
You're using the 100-400 w/ TC, is it the 1.4 or 2.0 and how do you like it? Why are you not shooting with your 200-600?
Never mind I see you switched to Canon.
1st thumbs up and 1st comment, its a 1st. Nice work, as always!
Haha nice!! And thank you for watching
Glad to see you back..

Do you recommend a 1.4 converter on the 200-600 g sony a9ii
Owned the a9 before but never used the a9 II. How do you like it? I think the teleconverter pairs well with the 200-600.
@@RyanMenseWildlife I like it a lot I’m on the fence with the 1.4 on the 200-600 s6.3 g I keep reading conflicting results
Any reason why you’ve seem to have dropped all the Sony gear?
It's been a couple of years, but I was moving on from the FS5 and didn't like Sony's direction with the FX line. And I was reviewing some Canon stuff at the time for PetaPixel and kind of slipped into it then. I do still have my a7R III though.
Sony A1 is still king in the birding world :)
@@njrtech sounds like you’re happy with it!
