SKATEBOARDING EN COLOMBIA 🇨🇴🛹

6 months, 20+ hours of footage later, this is just a taste of what’s brewing from this wild adventure in Colombia... In my 22+ years skateboarding, I’ve never experienced anywhere with a skate scene like you’ll find in Colombia. Most foreigners only speculate about Colombia through an antiquated lens of sensationalized problematic activities, or visit Medellín for one party neighborhood, but my experience has shown me a very different reality, and how much is possible to experience in Colombia. 🇨🇴
While never talked about on RUclips, Netflix, or other mainstream media platforms, my experience has shown me a world rich with culture, people who are full of passion, grace, and a modern society, full of color, music, sports, immaculate architecture, incredible food, and a truly unified culture. While skateboarding was the lens through which I was fortunate enough to experience Colombia, this experience has challenged every context of my thinking, my values in life, and my understanding of life growing up/living in the United States.
Interestingly, I was almost scared out of going, and found next to nothing on the internet showcasing the skate scene. This was only supposed to be a 2 week getaway, and going into this, I didn’t know anyone. Which is to say, in no reality, could I have imagined or planned for what would unfold over 6 months, or the degree to which I would fall in love with Colombia. However, that’s a story for another video…
