You’re relatively new to mechanical keyboards then right? There are honestly a ridiculous amount of videos and channels that have shown off space bars that sound just as good
@@sleeperthoee I know this is a really late reply, but no, I've been around the mechanical keyboard hobby for a couple years, I just dont care much to get involved in it myself. The type of keycaps and style of keycaps make it sound like that, I used cherry style ones and they don't sound like that. But my sa style keycap spice bar sounds like that:)
I did the same thing to one of my super cheap Amazon budget boards a while ago. Amazing how much just 205g0 lube can help stabs with eliminating rattle and have good sound.
idk why people love mechanical keyboards , I tried out one clicky bule on a retail store nearby(in india you have very limited mechanical ekyboard vchoises) and I freaking hated it . Membrane feels more responsive and feels the same in all price ranges . I feel it is the go to if you are not a gamer
And then there's me who tried every mod and lube in existence and still cant get rid of that one ticking stabilizer only to find out thay my spacebar was warped.
@@human4861 if you get it from Amazon you have 30 days to return I’m pretty sure and if you have prime there’s 90 day coverage so if a few of the switches “break” you could get a refund or credit to your account
@@kinglegodud7143 Honestly, people tend to judge razer’s old products which is pretty bad. I know Razer has has a lot of issues as a company and as a brand. it affects their reputation you could say. So why buy a razer keyboard. Overall, razer’s newest products isn’t half bad.
clip ins are stabs that clip onto the pcb. If these are plate mounted i think u should just say plate mounted stabs instead of clip ins just so that ppl wont be confused 👍
Literally two days ago I came across a keyboard vid and was like ??? Who cares what a keyboard sounds like and now thanks to the tons of videos I’ve seen since, I watched this vid, raised my eyebrows, and went “damn that’s an impressive sounding spacebar”
If your trying to get rid of the clack..silicone inside the bar itself to deaden the high frequency there, put a dab under the clips (think how you can deaden a ringing bell by simply touching it). If you wanna go all out you can coat the majority of the metal with silicone or use fine silicone tubing for a sleeker look. Deadening sound in such a small area shouldn't cost you anything at all really. I got a board kit coming with an alu plate, I'm going to give soft conformal spray coating a try. Most of the sound will be coming straight from the keycap though, it resonates and acts almost like a speaker cone.
Completely unrelated to the keyboard, but you mind sliding in the name of that mouse pad? been trying to find an appealing black mousepad for a while now. Keyboard sounds great tho :)
That's because PLATE MOUNT CLIP INS are the best and most... STABLE stabilizers. No pcb screw in stabs come close. I don't get the hype of the screw in stabs, wobbly as hell if you don't have very tight tolerance in the switches :/
Thats typically all you have to do with durocks, gat inks, owlstabs, etc. with lube and some dielectric grease if you know what you’re doing. You said these were the stabs that came with the board right?
