Always good to see someone getting into Manowar. My favourite album changes often but right now it's probably between Hail to England, Sign of the Hammer and Triumph of Steel.
I got into Manowar when their first album came out; I'd been a fan of Ross from before that. I did fall off the Manowar train after about the 6th album, but I'm so glad they're there. Meanwhile, I hope you've listened to Ross the Boss' albums - they sound a lot like Manowar, but alas, there's only one Eric Adams (and I don't mean the mayor of NYC!)...
I love really every album the same, except Triump of Steel, that one is for me absolute metal album of all time. I dont think it can be overcome by anything. I heard that album 100x 😂 I do understand that u don't like ballads of slow songs, but in the same time Manowar is Manowar because of these songs and variety. Without "experimenting" or changing mood, speed, tempo etc... they would be gone and forgotten like many others. Pity its not for you because otherwise you would have each album rated even higher. But I glad you enjoyed basically whole discography. Nice to have another "immortal" :) But as I said last time... i really think you would love discography of Iced Earth, power, thrash metal with very dark elements, with great great voice. Maybe you should start with album "Something wicked this way come" ... It was my first and then it was everything else. Jon Schaffer is called riff master, and it had damn good reason, his right hand is sick.
My tier list is: 1. The Triumph Of Steel 2. Kings Of Metal 3. Sign Of The Hammer 4. Battle Hymns 5. Into Glory Ride 6. Hail To England 7. Fighting The World 8. Louder Than Hell 9. Warriors Of The World United 10. Lord Of Steel 11. Gods Of War
Hello, new subscriber here! I've been into Manowar for quite sometime and I can't believe how much I slept on this band. Their signatures of blending different genres from black, death, symphonic, heavy metal, hard rock, progressive and even folk to a extent made this band very unique for their time. However, I don't really have a record I cited to be Manowar's finest achievements in their wonderful embodiment they’ve progressed overtime as musicians, but I really enjoy how every album is musically different in terms of consistency, structure, instrumentals and maturity. Manowar definitely needs to start doing tours more frequently and would really bring a huge audience worldwide but we'll never know.
Thanks for doing this reaction to all albums and tier list! My top two are Into glory ride and The triumph of steel. Do you know the band Stratovarius? They're an awesome Prog/power metal band from Finland and have a vast catalogue with great albums! They would be worth to do same as with Manowar.
Great ranking. I totally agree with Warriors of The World and Gods Of War. But it's hard to rate them. For example The Triumph Of Steel album was my least favorite but over time it rose to the first ranks. Looking forward to EP reactions.
surprised Kings of Metal are not kings of metal here :D I love Crown and the ring for the atmosphere and that srceam "...of steel" is just amazing to me :-) Anyway, this was the first time a metal band used an orchestra and a choir in their recording. Today, everyone is fed up with it, but back then it was a blast
I like your tier list. It's tough for me to rank the Manowar albums. I would say that Sign of the Hammer, Hail to England and Kings of Metal would be at the top for me. I prefer the Lord of Steel over Fighting the World and Gods of War.😊
The song Heart of steel was originally written for a boy who got cancer. Unfortunately, he did not manage his battle with this disease, so not much is known about it. After all, Mnowar is about winning battles, right? But I think it's a great backstory and shows the character of the band.
@@TheMetalJunkie my first,,touch,,with Manowar..but just two year later come Bathory and totaly change my music,,taste,,my friend not belive what am listen..and to this days never understand why love Bathory..

Haven't checked out Ross' solo stuff yet or side projects

I love that list! You should do more of them... Makes me wanna listen to Manowar ⚔️
Judas priest will be next after I'm done going through their discography

It was a pleasure going through Manowar. As for Stratovarius, I do know of the band but I don't think I know any tracks
The Crown And The Ring has metal version which u can hear in the Thunder In The Sky EP and the re-recorded Kings Of Metal
Sounds more my style

Oh I'm sure it was very innovative at the time
