Thomas, I think you need to understand that political and cultural change is measure in generations, not years. And you need to understand that progress is usually chipped away at, not passed with sweeping, torrential, paradigm shifting policies. It took literally generations for the de facto government to seize as much power, influence, and control as they have from the de jure government. We're not going to be able to take power back in just an election or two. So I think you need to adjust expectations in terms of time. I also think you need to adjust what you define as "doing anything" in terms of making progress. Less than 10 years ago, "pre-existing conditions," were legitimate grounds for insurance companies to deny treatment. Now they aren't. Marijuana is legal now in a lot more places. And policy discussions about universal healthcare, a green new deal, and living wages, are now realities, whereas 10 years ago, we probably wouldn't have even heard about them because they would have been dismissed as illegitimate. This shows the real danger of Trump. Senator Bennet now looks like some kind of hero. Meanwhile, one look at his funding and voting record shows he's part of the very "corruption" problem he speaks of in this video. He receives millions of dollars from wallstreet, voted yes on Keystone Pipeline, voted no on the re-importation of prescription drugs from Canada, and a whole host of other half measures and pro-establishment, pro-corporate policies. Bennet isn't nearly as bad as Trump or Cruz, but he, and other establishment types, like Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Hillary Clinton, Claire McCaskill, and even Obama are the reason we have Trump and Cruz. Cause establishment types are not REALLY doing what's in the best interest of the American people and we have to choose between the lesser of two evils, instead of between good and evil. We have to vote for and support people who do actually represent us, and don't accept corporate bribes. People like Ro Khanna, Tulsi Gabbard, Richard Ojeda, Alexandria Ocassio Cortez, Bernie Sanders, and others! If you want real change, don't listen to what a politician says. look at their funding and their voting record!
