A little late to the party, but after discovering the L'Homme Ideal line and falling absolutely head over heels for that DNA...I started looking into what else Guerlain had to offer, which is a lot! I saw the hype on the new Rouge Privé and blind bought it from News and I received it yesterday. Yes...the opening is definitely bright citrus and leather...which is quite a contrast in my opinion. I'm not an experienced nose...but when you start getting into the mid...the leather tones down and I can pick up the patchouli and the vanilla. I agree that this is something that is more on the classier side and not something that I personally will wear on a regular basis but now getting into the dry down...its developing into really pleasant fragrance that im glad i have. Thanks for the video...I just wanted to share my thoughts
@@Fragnifiscents it’s not for everyone for sure. It’s just one that after about 10 wears I was like ok ya that’s nice. And I appreciate the kind words buddy
@@Fragnifiscents I bought it direct from Guerlain. I live in the southeastern US. It definitely doesn’t remind me of anything else currently in the ideal line.

It becomes much closer to the original Habit Rouge vanilla/patch drydown. The edt is still where it’s at imo.
That’s very interesting. I love the house, this is one I need to spend more time with and possibly look into the original.
Did you ever end up trying Platine Prive?
No I still can’t find it. I keep checking newsparfums still no luck. Have you tried it?
