The beauty of this season for Michigan is that we get to play all the top rated teams on the field during the season. Texas, Oregon, OSU and a few others. We have the opportunity to shut up the critics. Very exciting times. Go Blue!

I agree, I cleared my schedule and watched every game last season. A few were just boring blowouts. Not this upcoming season. We play errrrbody except UGA, In my opinion Alabama will probably take a step back. The 3 teams to beat are the other state, Oregon and Texas. Texas will be the test early. They will be really good with an elite QB. The other 2 teams are stacked with talent as well and no doubt deserve to be in top 3. Not sure how Michigan landed 12th but all good. I’m guessing because we have a question mark at QB but I think with the culture and talent we will be fine. We might still go undefeated if we catch early leads in those tough games. We definitely have a defense that can go toe to toe with anyone. If Orji comes out throwing dimes, it’s a wrap. Defenses won’t know what to do.

As for win total I’d be happy with….9 minimum. I think 10 is possible. But we have to increase takeaways and make stops on 3rd down.
We should be able to take care of Colorado at home. If we can build on last years experience and coaching systems, we should be able to take care of the teams we are “supposed to beat” and enter Columbus 7-0 or 6-1.
We should beat a battered UCLA team at home.
USC will be a bit beat up from their schedule as well and could either be extremely deflated or surprisingly good, tough game either way.
I think Wisconsin will be in a similar state as us but I don’t think this year they have established the culture or have the talent in place to be as good on paper as us.
Iowa has lulled the media info assuming they’re a 9/10 win team every year. But their offense might actually be worse than last year.
To summarize, I would love if we didn’t but I assume we will lose 1 we shouldn’t before Columbus, lose to Ohio st 3 touchdowns. And likely lose 1 more down the stretch.
Depending on who and to how we lose, 9-3 will make us a bubble playoff team. But odd are the spot will go to a Michigan or Penn st before we would get the go ahead. Unless Big10 puts in 5 teams.
