So overall, it's not that he was intending to be an ass. And for his statement, I'm pretty sure he more meant in trying to target him with Boo and other things to screw Jon over.

So they picked Luigi as the AI for the jungle-themed board, but not the haunted house one, and they picked Daisy for the casino-themed board, but not Wario. I am disappoint in you guys.
This board is one of my MOST FAVORITE of the boards by design and art (looks at scary instruments); and I have Mario Party 3-9. Love the fast upload guys!!
If you take into account the board is haunted mansion related, the square like form makes sense. You walk through hallways and land on spaces that take you through doors theoretically. I think it would've been cooler though if it had actual features of walking around a haunted mansion, but they probably didn't want to chance the gamecube's capabilities, didn't have the time, or didn't know how well it would turn out.
I know I'm super late on saying this, but I'm colorblind. Toad's Quick Draw is bad, but not as bad as Hexagon Heat. Mushroom Mix-up ironically was colorblind-friendly.
cocacola150dr Tim had the worst luck of the TRG. On the last board he didn't win, just because he lost a dice block minigame. So it has to be equalized now.
Well seeing how each of them have one a Mario Party so far, I feel like he'll win one of the other Mario Parties later on, but this one is probably going to be Jons.

This is my was my favorite board not cause of the basic layout or the haunted look, but the fact that it's hosted by Boo. My favorite character in the Mario party series.
I agree with Chugga. Based on my experiences with this board, it's kind of dull and boring. I also felt that a lot of the parts had potential. As for Big Boo, well, I've had this games since 2004, and I've never ever seen Big Boo even on games with a high amount of turns, but knowing their luck, they might actually awaken it and use it.
I have gotten to use Big Boo a couple of times but its very hard to do. In fact i have seen Big Boo been used more often than a bowser suit appearng in my game.
Also, the Gaddlight (an item which chases away a Boo when he is after your coins and stars), it does not work on the Big Boo. That is, even if all 3 targeted players have a Gaddlight. Chugga forgot to include that.
Wouldn't it be cool if the big boo forcefully sends the three unlucky players to a "You got to run to protect your coin(s)/star(s)" mini game after the lucky player pays the same price as a regular boo? Because in all reality, you have stop on the ? spaces in front of Big Boo's portrait 3 times to activate him and that alone is tough.
I think Tim happens to get lucky with the diceblocks, and Emile happens to get lucky with the board gameplay. Jon is just a strategist that beats luck.
I'm gonna bet that the star Emile-senpai had in the beginning (spoilers) will be the only one obtainable in this board... also Jon wins from a hidden block :P
I think Emile is just always aware when it's a good thing to have a certain turn. :) And I see what people say about the metal hovering board. The fact it's not integrated stylistically into the rest of the theme makes it feel like every board is the same.
I will bee surprised if someone gets the happening star on this board because fun fact this board has the record for the lowest number of happening space in the entire series with only those 2 for the big boo.

I actually had no idea what that Boo picture did in MP4 till literally last Wednesday. Was doing this board in a solo run as (very fittingly) Luigi and I decided to go for my second Happening Space. Went to the Happening Space (Waluigi and I had gone to that area each once). Was curious as to what happened since I never had seen the Boo picture fully activate. Got my Happening Space and stole about 66 coins from all 3 of the CPUs (think I did Waluigi, Yoshi, and Daisy). Plus that "D'oh, I missed" by Jon in the deep voice was hilarious (I think it was him).
i think chuggaa will either be toad or wario or mini bowser i mean hes upsessed with doh i missed and he does do a great toad voice and mini bowser cuz thats who he was in part of fortune street

I rarely see big boo in this board the happening spaces are tedious to land on unless you rig it with the mini mushroom while the paths are accessible
