Thanks for the explanation on the glowplugs .we are currently working on a 400 ? international and neither one of us know a thing about the glow plug set up. Our injector pump has stopped working and we found your videos. Thanks again!
Great video mate, very informative, I didn't realize they connected those plugs in series like that and I was trying to figure out why they have an earth wire at one end, any wonder my B414 was so hard to start!, anyway thanks for a great video you have solved a great mystery of mine.
Will be interesting to see if your "young expert" watches and appologises, and thanks you for setting him straight or not Lance lol. It's maybe not the simplest, or most robust way to run glow plugs, but he likely got ground readings everywhere and wrongfully assumed they were shorted. When they could be easily checked by resistance readings from the 1st plug closest to ground, working back to the supply and looking for small increases in R values, or even continuity. Thoughts go out to you and enjoy next week Lance. Thanks for your time and effort making this videos, I enjoy every one.
Hey Lance, I got a bit envious when you bought another tractor (the David Brown) So I have just bought an International Havester B250 Lol. Thanks for the expanation about the glow plug cicuit.
Hi Lance, Excellent explanation and just what I was after. Have an old B250 thats hasnt been started in 10 yrs. Have replaced glow plugs but two keep burnign out. Suspect carbon build up then from what youre saying. Also when bought had "pepper pot" burnt out and bypassed. Will wire one of those back in then!
Great video. I don’t have any thing with glow plugs. But I now know something about them now. And know where to get information if I ever need it. Thanks Lance.
Thanks for a great video. That looks the same as the 2 1/4 diesel 2a Land Rover setup. I would assume that is why they have a coil mounted on the bulkhead 🤔
Good video Lance - thank you. I have a 434 that the plugs have never worked (ether) but now I'll tackle this issue. Are you able to tell me the resistance of the stock pepper pot for this set up? Thanks again.
Excellent video thanks. I have a b275 and would like to put the can of start ya bastard aside and get the glow plugs working. Can I buy a new resistor for the pepper pot from your shop? Thanks
i just bought a d217 and cant find any information on oil filter, oil type, fuel filter part numbers. also glow plug part number would be nice. please help.
I am working on the 424 international tractor and the glow plugs will not light up in tractor power goes to plugs to 4 3 2 but not 1 but no light Isaw the video of the Mercedes glow plugs But no sucess they sent n Me the loop one i wanted the pencil glow plugs from Mercedes please help me figure this out i appreciate 😢😢😢
Hi Bundy I have a a554 with a AD264 engine I have trouble removing the glow plugs It is hard to get a Spanners on the nut Idid manage to remove it and now I can’t get the rest of the plug out can you help? Regards John James
Hi Lance, Great informative video!. I have a international 564. My pepper pot was faulty but it looks like the bakelite type insulation under the brass posts had broken down and earthed the circuit out occasionally causing a intermittent fault which was a baffling pain in the ass. I'm rebuilding the pepper pot as it is otherwise ok. Where is Australia can I get those type of glow plugs? Thanks Dave
Hi from Norway, can I skip the pepperpot and just count aprox 10 sec instead? Does it have any other function other than to show the system is live? Many thanks in advance for your response :)
Another great video Lance - excellent explanation of how both modern and vintage glow plugs work, thanks!
Thanks for watching!

ok sounds interesting.
Thanks for the great video, wonder when you replaced the coil in your pepper pot what you used to make your replacement coil?
You can buy just the coil from QTP
Try the champion 28 glow plug. I think they might be parallel.
I have adapted Nissan ones at times they seem to last well.
Thanks for a great video. That looks the same as the 2 1/4 diesel 2a Land Rover setup. I would assume that is why they have a coil mounted on the bulkhead 🤔
Yes probably

Thank you so much 😀
Great.
Thanks.

No Im not sure as mine read zero with a digital meter but there was no load.
Excellent video thanks. I have a b275 and would like to put the can of start ya bastard aside and get the glow plugs working. Can I buy a new resistor for the pepper pot from your shop? Thanks
Yes give them a call or look on the www.queenslandtractorspares.com.au website.
i just bought a d217 and cant find any information on oil filter, oil type, fuel filter part numbers. also glow plug part number would be nice. please help.
Not a popular model over here, look up the Wix filters application guide they may help.
Is there eny chance of getting 1glo plug for a 564 intake tractor
Probably would be I would imagine, check Sparex out.
I am working on the 424 international tractor and the glow plugs will not light up in tractor power goes to plugs to 4 3 2 but not 1 but no light
Isaw the video of the Mercedes glow plugs

Me the loop one i wanted the pencil glow plugs from Mercedes please help me figure this out i appreciate 😢😢😢
If not no 1 no 2 is probably faulty.
I test glow plugs with battery and burn up fast melt 😢
They are made for 0.9 of a volt not battery voltage

Does the AD264 have a bolt on housing for the glow plugs you could undo? i use long sockets on these it seems to help.
How many amps are required for these glow plugs in total ?
Im not sure, I cant say I have ever checked.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong with the glow plugs
Just follow the video.
Iv see this vedeo over and over maybe bypass the dash element and try that
I have tried everything but no go
Maybe the plugs are cheap
I dont know what else to try
Follow the video with power flow and clean the carbon out of the pre combustion chambers.
Rebuilt motor all clean and new

👍
Thanks.

I think you would need a small resistor of some kind as they all work in series.
After your explanation there is nothing to discuss 🤔👍. Cheers c u next time 🏁🇩🇰😁
👍
Do you happen to know if these glow plugs fit the ad 264 engine. Cheers
I dont know Im sorry.
