Hey bob love your videos and podcast! Your podcast has helped me so much with my 3 year old lab. I had him retrieving and didn’t know what the next step was until I started listening to your podcast. Now I’m working 3 handed casting and he was slow at first but picking it up quickly and pushing me to be a better trainer and handler. Thank you for your videos and the podcasts there is so much great info and I’ve learned so much from them. It’s a great feeling seeing that light come back in your dogs eyes when he’s learning something new after being stagnant on just retrieving for a while. Thank you bob for giving me the tools to be a better trainer and better my dog I truly appreciate it.
Bob another good thing with this drill is teaching a dog your marking cues way out, easy, and then adding in the voice inflection louder for longer sends and softer for the easy/shorter birds.
What distance are these marks? Do you stretch them out in succession? Love your stuff by the way, very informative and helpful, a big Thank You to you and Kevin for your content.
Typically, long bird station is 120-150 yards and I bring the other marks in a towards us, according to the factors and how tight I want it. Shortest mark is probably 60 yards
Are you looking for a cross wind when training, or is it best to train with the young dog down wind? Not sure if you e touched on this in any of your podcasts, I haven’t listened to all of them yet.
Never say never but I almost never run with the wind in our face. I want a cross wind or wind at our back. I want them marking, go to area of the fall, then hunt

I would love to see your process from start to finish with a dog. A guide for day 1 to day 100. Love the videos btw
We are working towards that! Thank you

New camera!
Can you do a a video about the "Baseball" or the "W" drill? These videos are great and thank you to providing something to us amateurs?
Yea can do! Thank you for watching
Why is it called ABC? Is it because each throwing station is a different kind of retrieve?
That’s a great question, I don’t actually know the answer 😎
