  • In this Saltwaters Hawaii episode, Jacob and I went night diving! We got to see some cool creatures that come out at night and also got to spear some fish! In the morning we went with a couple Oamas and I got lucky with a 5.7lb white Papio! We took it all home and cooked it up!

Aloha From Kailua, Old makule man here, been fishing and diving here for almost 60 years, and this was the very first time I heard the Rock Uhu called "Pananu". I learned from my kupunas when small kid daze to call um "Panunuhu". I have heard a couple guys calls um "Panunu" (without the "hu") Maybe "Pananu" a corruption of "Panunu". Languages evolve, but just thought I'd let you know what some of us old futs call um since back in the 1960s and beyond. Nice day tako at night. I have a spot get choke day tako, but I go at night when they sleeping, and all white so easy fo see. Keep up da vids, a hui hou.
