My 330ci 5th gear actually hits 263 (unleashed). The 5th gear of a fl hits 254 max and the 6th actually only does 252 kph. Get used to it.
E46s are great cars ! The 5-speed was replaced by the 6-speed in MY 2004....gear ratios are the same except for 6th, which is a 15% overdrive. This run is right around 155 mph in US-speak. This car appears stock to me, I have a 330Ci Performance Pkg. (ZHP)

@@davecom3 Yeah, that`s about right....when my ZHP was a bit younger, it turned a 14.02 @ 100 mph in the 1/4 mile sprint. Quite respectable for 182 cubic inches pulling a 3300-lb. car. My time was equal to, or a little better than most muscle cars from the late `60s. Swapping to a 3.23 or 3.46 diff would knock a tenth or two off those times, as well as giving more grunt out of second gear corners.
Love the sound when it changes gears this "click" is awesome. I am wondering if I should get myself an E46 330Ci, but the maintenance costs will be probably at least twice as high, compared to my E36 316i. Great vid though, car is amazingly fast.

I daily a 330ci too, 5 speed manual. Did 260km/h on the meter but gps said 249km/h ( yes also in germany omw to nbr) I'ts funny to see a stock car go over it's highest marked speed on the meter. I was also kind of silenced. 250 is fast, especially when you do it the first time

ZHP has the advantage of the higher redline and shorter final drive. 13.7 sec quarter mile time if the tyres 'hook' and 14.5 sec 0-100mph times

It was stock, 6 gear was some sort of energy gear to safe fuel. You see it in the video the speed is not going up anymore in 6 gear.
