  • Body camera video shows police confronting a woman found living above a Family Fare grocery store in Midland, Michigan. She told police she'd been living in the sign for about a year. She'd fashioned a living space there, complete with a little desk, houseplant, computer printer, Keurig coffeemaker, and a cubbyhole full of food, according to police. Everything changed when some girl and her thief bf moved in. … he started stealing packages sent to other people in the building. Then bounty hunters came an arrested him. ….
This is when things went full on crazy…
Rather than be invisible like me she started making one of the two shower rooms like it was her homes bathroom. She hung some thing on the wall and out a bathroom matt down (gross) a tooth brush holder snd stuff. ….
And get this. This was her solution after me trying to wake her up saying “dude what are you doing? You walk down the hall with all your bathroom stuff blatantly in front of people including the ones that work for the building as if this is some college dorm or something …
So her solution to “dont carry the stuff letting people see you” was ok ill just keep it in the bathroom. Good idea.
Then later when theyre actively trying to kick her she tells them “ why are you aways hassling me? You dont give any of the other people crap that have been living here way longer. Giving specific examples such as me and “the oldman” “the electrician don the hall”!
By the way i know this because her brain saw no issue telling me late one night when she was stalking my door waiting to see me as she would the moment id come out. ….later on towards the end of her inside the building in an actual unit she began banging on my door to talk to me. And telling people we were friends or something.
She ruined it for everyone. The old man had just had a mild stroke recently too.
Later she tried living in the bathroom. Then she live outside in a suv as the place allwed rv in the back. Welp she ruined that for everyon too. Snitching on all the people living out back for years.
Finally when i left fr Christmas her and her new bf robbed my place….. i lost everything and became homeless Mynplace was really nice too. The biggest unit the place had. Nice high sealings 18ft? It was a cool spot. Id lived in three different units and kept moving to better ones over the years and finally got the nicest one. Also cost the most but it was worth it. …so she viewed me as rich im sure. Because i wasnt supposed to be living their the robbery created a situation i didnt know how to deal with. My place had been vandalized inside too? Like i dont get it people had smashed and thrown things everywhere …really sad. My art was all thrown everywhere the roof from the fridge and freezers all over. Like why? My shoes were missin mates. Sucked. All my camera equipment was stolen. Lenses. Tripods. My canon and nikon DSLR’s. I also had additional cameras for friends to use. It makes it really fun when you all have cameras. Suddenly people take more interest in seeing each others picture’s. I especially love night photography at like 3am. No one is around. ….
They stole my vintage camera collection too. I had this …….
This isnt good for me. I need to let this stuff go. Not sure. What to do. Nothing has ever been the same. Oh and then my storage unit got robbed? Management at the place did suck especially this one lady was a total pos. But that girl created the hellstorm.
      Blah
Whats funny is the owner of the property lives in a different property he has on the water that is commercial zoning. Nonresidential just like my spot. And i guess he had converted warehouse into a really cool millionaire bachelor pad.
But you know that just fine. ..
      And it truly should be.
      In conclusion
      I can relate to terrified.
Hiding acting like no one is inside and blah balhn

They are many hard working people living out of their cars who go to work each day but cannot afford a home . If they come across the border and say they are muslim will be given many thousands that the govenrment said they need to get an apartment and furnish it and store cards loaded for them. Later , they are given money to start businesses. Also , they do not let them stay in apts . for long they are given homes. I shop at that store, never looked for or notices anyone up on the roof. I admire her chutzpah for finding a safe place to live. Right, they showed _her_ compassion but if she were an employed "black" person who was also homeless and living in this sign, they would've approached with guns drawn, swearing and screaming, they would have brutally dragged her out and escalated the situation to justify shooting her 50+ times. But, yes of course, let's be in awe of how wonderful these officers were towards _this_ citizen.

Building affordable housing for decent people isn't complex IMO. We have the same problem in the UK, in addition landlords charging whatever they want for private rentals, that also needs to stop. People that are homeless and on drugs is something else (a lot can be helped, maybe not all), people that choose to be homeless is something else - let them go ahead. 'Complex solutions' in my mind is saying not with my tax dollars!

LOL. she is not a victim. I have seen people who made 100k a year sleep in the office for years without anyone knowing . I guess they were also down on their luck. Come to think of it, I knew someone who had the office keys and would go sleep at the office moving his stuff into storage until he saved up enough to pay mostly cash for his house. He went there late at night and would be up and at his desk when the bosses came in and they spoke of him like he was the hardest worker .
