What we got is a 80s movie created in 2022. Im not talking about the first Top Gun. Im talking back when movies used to be amazing. Ive seen this movie 5 times in the imax theater. I cant get enough of it.
Awesome movie, no political correctness, no vague social, inclusion, diversity, or climate cause virtue signaling. Pure elegance, fighter jets, dog fights, and fun. This is how movies should be. Watching it for the third time next weekend.

I've seen it 3 times and I'm going again. It's amazing, go see it now!
Felt good walking out of there. Saw it in 4DX. It was like going on a ride. Cheap thrill that felt good.

Gasoline, bullets, bombs and poison gas.
Every pilot carried his own pistol
Wearing leathers, scarf and goggles of glass.
Aviators had no Parachutes
To escape their burning plane.
Many were forced to jump to their death
Or self-inflect a bullet to the brain.
Blimps where known as battleships of the sky
The roar of their engines gave reason for fear.
They flew so high they were hard to shoot down
Hiding above clouds till their targets drew near.
Tracer bullets for the first time were used
In the guns of airplanes to set blimps afire.
The skies became man’s highway of death
With duty and honor their driving desire.
How many flyboys have we lost since then
Those days of the Great War and more?
Where do we get such brave souls of chance
Who rise from the rest in the battles of war?

It only soars at box office because they didn’t stream it anywhere. The hype was too strong. If Applebees was giving out free tickets with a food order… that there should be enough for you to know, not to spend your hard earned money on a theater ticket.
This is why I will wait for it to drop on a streaming platform.

Overhyped movie. Predictable garbage plot. Even if youre an aviation aficionado a lot of moments are nonsensical. Same old story. American hero, Russia bad. American hero kills all Russians without breaking a sweat. Bravo, champagne.

What are you talking about? the fights in the movie were brilliantly done, the shots were perfectly done, the characters and their interactions were great, the enemies were a serious threat, and overall the movie improved everything from the original. It is just top tier filmmaking. Perhaps it is not for you.
i love aviation and i thought this top gun maverick was amazing.
Go find a better movie that does practical aviation, than you can chirp all you want.
Still way better than all the woke propaganda that many companies/ movies try to sell us nowaday.
