We always have Bank holidays off, saw a tradder out behind my house yesterday at 17:30 still cleaning. Weve recently got a load of new work in a big town and its ridiculously compact to the point of some streets you can go 10 jobs from one park up. One man on them days can do 40 to 50 per day 8 till 3, on the other hand 2 men one van have done a record 89 jobs in one day, which is absolutely mental! Getting a compact round takes time and effort but this is where the money is less travel more dolla, although we have days where theres a bit of driving and they still produce very good turnover. We average for single operator probably 20 jobs per day, although we have many days where its bigger stuff and its a lot less due to big houses.
Yeh, I mean you can have a job that is an massive and takes hours, or you can have one that is 3 windows that takes 3 to 4 mins. Having a compact round with 89 houses is likley to be lots of little jobs, flats I'm guessing...?
@@ChrisAddis Personally I prefer the £20 jobs that take 15 to 20 minutes feels like a good mix of work and moving to next job rest lol. That particular area weve got over 400 jobs they're all houses, 3 bed semis or terraced, with a few smaller 1 bed bungalows the terraced ones have shared access which is strange but perfect and it works. Houses in this area are £7 to clean, which is cheaper than our average normal charge but this area is quite run down and cheap property, £100k for a house, old mining town. But were knocking out volume hence cheap.
Been going 5 mounths now over 200 coustmers on a monthly basis all compact sometimes you just want the work and clean the window s but it make more sense to ask them if they can wait until per say 6 weeks when ur in the area and put them on the 4 weekly clean so it's compact it's hard when you need the money but worth doing as you be glad you did it's just how you start out got to take the rough with the smoth look at the bigger picture
If that's how you want work it happy days. We work fortnightly or 4 weekly (mainly 4 weekly) that way we do 13 cleans a year and they're done on the same day every 4 weeks. I find it's easier to structure the round and have the vast majority of weekends free for down time or the odd big job. We'll done on building your round buddy
Thanks man. Yeh it's getting daft now. Not just commercial I'm finding, we're getting alot of bigger residential work, deep cleans etc... I suspect its down to folk not going on holiday and spending that money on the house....long may it continue.
Hi, I work a 9-4.30 every day take home £400 pre day on average I do 12/14 hours a day that's doing front and back on all house, I take it you just do front only?
I find that when ur starting of as I am when u get the jobs look at ur seg and speake to the coustmer to put them all on the same round they are Normally cool with that also IV found have a uniform with ur company and window cleaner and ur number in big letters on the back of ur t-shirt works a treat I picked up 8 yesterday from just the tshrit and one more thing be careful with the people who want the one offs there normally Messer's want the one off for stupid money or they will say ok I LL have mounthly clean then when you turn up the next time they say oh I don't want it this month my windows are still clean u have to use your judgement on this if someone asks for a one off the they say ok I'll have a mounthly clean be very careful normally the Messer's
thats with the wfp also i do detailing as i call it with a microfibre cloth drying the frames and cleaning doors is in with it etc do you do this also? i know that takes a little bit of time aswell cleaning frames with microfibre cloth
If you're happy doing that then all power to you. I find that using water fed pole properly doesn't require to wipe the sills down afterwards. You may save yourself some more time doing it that way imo
Varies tbh. Myself I tend to do anywhere from 10 - 15 jobs (of various sizes) the lads that work for me do around 20-25. I usually get done around noon, then sort paperwork, quoting, ordering supplies etc. The lads are usually done for around 2pm
also do you do front and backs? i do front and backs etc and do conservatories aswell i feel like doing 16/20 houses a day is slow compaired to you lol
We do a variety of jobs mate. If I was to be out on the tools all day, which generally I'm not anymore, I can get through 30 jobs ish in an 8 hour day. These days I do up to 15 jobs a day and my lads do up to about 25-27, but they work short days of about 6 hours. Don't worry about making comparisons mate, just service the customer to the best of your ability and make sure you get paid...thats the most important thing 😉
Do you work Christmas Day anyway mate you can build a window cleaning round up £2,000 a month it would take three-and-a-half months knocking and knocking in knocking and knocking lots of hard work with your cards and leaflets
Now how did you get to the bottom of that window above the bay? I used to live in the next street behind the hotel you just cleaned!! Hope you and your family have a great Easter.
Small world buddy...I've the 50ft pole, make sure the traffic is clear and move out into the road....its not ideal but its the best you can do from the ground. Happy Easter to you too mate
This all depends on how compact your work is mate drive around jobs 25 to 30 if your work is compact street after street house after house 45 upwards ive got work In Liverpool 2 vans one area 4 men 140 fronts in one day boom get in 👍 What I have noticed it’s not worth having 2 men in one van on drive around jobs one man can do 30 on there own 2 men on driver around jobs don’t seem to get much more cleaned I know this through experience
By the way my friend when I said a window cleaner can do £2,000 a week that is when your young and fit like in your 20s and 30s and 40s I do not earn that I go out 4 days a week I can earn a better 150 that would take me 4 hours
Sir with heavy traffic if you do 10 or 12 houses per day that will be a great achievement I do not know where it come from the one man can do 25 or 30 houses per day only if you do all the houses on one estate such assessment give only bullets to unexperienced owners of the business what cause again bulling on staff. I WOULD BE VERY CAREFUL WITH SUCH WORK ASSESSMENT. Terrain/distance and accessibility it is a key how many houses we can do and it is no so simply maybe in your area is easy but in different area won't be even fraction achievable. Again if it would be so profitable and easy every one will do it. Unfortunately as a professional cleaner since I was 15 year old. I can only tell you you are very optimistic. On top of that you have eat and go to toilets sometime and you cannot simply do 300 percent norm every day. My mother is professional cleaner also and she confirm 25 to 30 houses only on one estate. If you have to travel no chance.
Mate, have you even watched the video? I've literally addressed everything you've just said. I mentioned that a "compact round" where you do 10 to 15 or even 20 houses a short trip from each other is achievable.....
@@ChrisAddis yes I watched and I tell you now the owners of the business won't watch everything only parts which suits him/her that is why you should say 30 min per house average plus 30 min traveling to destination average that is means 12 houses per 12 working hours average I guess you find not a lot people who want to do it. Are you working 15 or 16 hours per day every day. I do not think so but me yes. And I tell you now you only make our work harder.
What are you on about? It is possible for a compact and well organised round to get 25 to 30 jobs per day. I've done it, may lads have done it and I know others that do it. As mentioned, there's some streets that we do 15 plus jobs on and that can get done with one guy in under 3 hours...I also mention traffic and travel and said that "providing your round is condenced and you reduce travel time" it is achievable....
@@ChrisAddis nobody say is not possible in a very specific environment but you should know you should not say so ever because it will be use against you in every single day and also it will impact your revenue. You should say 8 houses per day this what average is and it would be realistic. Do not make your life harder and do not make other life harder. Do you see 60 years old man on such average. Do you assume all cleaners are 20 years old and they did karate since they were 12 years old that their fitness is above the sky. Please step on earth and think responsible what you doing for yourself and others

All depends on size (obviously) personally like larger homes . Like to earn around £160 for a shortish day and then clear off home job done
the beauty of this business is you can do what you like in terms of workload and earnings, so long as you've laid the groundwork right.

much better to just work out what you want your day rate to be. say aim for £200 per day - x20 small £10 semis or x10 £20 bigger detached,
